Aww poor little punkin baby :((

The third pic looks a good 10 days or so premature.

10 days to as much as 2 weeks.

There is no chance born that early for survival, the lungs are not developed enough to live, unfortunately.

So sorry.......

Did this just happen?

There is a time frame where you can revive a baby.

You actually have 5-10 minutes.

If this ever happens again, take the baby in a towel and vigorously rub rub rub.

Even clearing his air passage by holding securely with head in fingers and body in palms and swing fast downward from over your head down to the floor.
no @catwoman707   its been 9 hours since the baby was born :(

i rubbed him for a long time but i guess i didnt do it right because he never breathed and there was no heartbeat ..

but thankyou for telling me this process of reviving :)

he was actually formed perfectly .. i always thought premature kittens weren't formed till  the very last details but he even had claws on his cute little paws :')

so that make puffy 53,54 days pregnant today ?

Seeing how early this baby was, there was no way to save him. The last couple weeks is when the lungs finish developing as well as weight gain, just as in humans.

A preemie means immature/underdeveloped lungs and low weight.

This baby is clearly quite early, not just a few days :(

There is a reason for everything. Just remember that.

Now the goal is to keep her on VERY low activity! She needs at LEAST another 8 days to go, more then better.

can you tell me why the kitten's bum, legs and tail is purple .. it was this way when he was born .. i did some research .. it can be because of certain position in uterus, blood circulation wasnt good .. is that the reason or he was just premature so that why purple rear ?

No, actually they are formed pretty early on. The period of paws/claws, etc developing is sometime around the 4-6 week mark.

The skin is thinner than what it will be when fully developed. See his eyes too? Thin skin and lack of fur.

It may very well have had poor circulation too but not sure about this.

Something went wrong, just so hard to really know what..............

my girl was so brave during labor .. she had contractions for about 20 min till the baby came out but she never cried or panted .. not even heavy breaths .. she just shivered between contraction so i kept rubbing and petting her and she kept calm

Not your fault by any means.

This little one was not developed enough to live. Very sad....
thank you .. on the bright side this could be answer to all my prayers .. hopefully now the discharge will stop and she will deliver other kittens full term and healthy .. * fingers crossed *

She also did an excellent job with the baby and placenta, etc.

Fab for a new/inexperienced little girl :)

Put the baby in a tiny box and bury it. I take a rose from my garden and put it with him, just me.

Exactly. Hopefully with a reduction of activity, having her confined to one room will help her carry them full term.

Just in case.........

They usually won't cry out. Mild pants sometimes, you will see when she is pushing, her whiskers will go forward.

The only time I've heard a mom make any sound was when there is a large baby, or twins, which has happened twice.

Even then it was just a small squeak.

i forgot to tell that when i called the vet, i asked him how many kittens did he see in ultrasound .. he said 3 so i am hoping for 2 healthy kittens now :)

and also i wanted to tell that even though she has already delivered one kitten, there is no milk on her nipples .. so that confirms she is not as far long as i would like to beleive
