For months now, my cat has had horrible gas. She let's loose every time she's picked up, every time she jumps... She does it all the time and it's horrible.

I thought it was her dry food so I switched her from Nutro Max to Simply Nourish grain free. It didn't change anything. It doesn't matter what type of wet food I feed. I've tried many different kinds with no result.

It's just yucky!

Oh I know how it feels! My Maine coon girl has some of the most noxious farts ever! (The kind you run and open a window and pray for it to go away)

Both of my cats are rescues and have been with us for 2 weeks now. Both of them had smelly horrid poo, diarrhea and soft stinky stools. But my main coon has the toxic farts.

After the vet check up, he said the soft stools would be due to stress. I think that's understandable. I also now have switched their diets off the dry crap food they feed them at the shelter and now they are on wet and a little bit of good quality (if there can be one?) dry to graze on during the day.

Both have made an amazing improvement, their stools are becoming more and more normal cat like. However my Maine coon girl occasionally passes this nasty wind. This ONLY happens when I feed her malt paste dry treat to help with hair balls. (Whiskas)

So maybe it's a treat you're feeding your cat? Or the cat could be stressed.

You might try giving her a probiotic on a daily basis.  It helps keep the Gut Flora in balance, just like with us humans
.  Here's a thread about them:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/290395/your-favorite-probiotics

Are her stools lose at all?  If so, it probably goes hand in hand with the bas issue, and perhaps there is something in the foods you are feeding (a common ingredient) that is upsetting her tummy.  Or perhaps she has a parasite in there.
