My cat is walking slowly and laying around in different places around the house that he usually doesn't. I opened a pouch of treats that he usually runs for but he just slowly walked over to eat them. He went outside for a while but just sat on the front porch in the sun. He is usually out there roaming for a while. I coaxed him back inside and brought some food and water over to him. He ate some dry food but I didn't see him drink any water. This isn't his normal behavior so I'm concerned. I'm not sure if he ate something that is making him feel sick or what. I haven't seen any vomit around. I'm monitoring him right now but wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

I would take him the the vet ASAP. an Immediate things to worry about is a urinary blockage that's life threatening. If you haven't seen him pee in the last hour Id probably get him to the vet now. It could me nothing or it could be very life threatening for your cat either way he needs to get to the vet.

I was just outside shoveling the deck and my cat came outside. He went over to the bushes and pee'd. He's now back in the house. He just jumped on the bathroom sink which is one of his fav things to do. I put nice cold water in the sink for him to drink. I'm hoping he's feeling a little better. I will update his progress.

Jack is around 10 yrs old. He seems to be getting better little by little. He's not running around yet but he seems to be walking better. He is also laying on the bed that he usually sleeps on so at least he's not just laying around in random places like before. He is eating from time to time as well. I've been praying for him and trust that God is healing him and restoring his health.

Thank you for caring. He seems to be steadily progressing to his usual self. He woke me up during the night to go outside like he usually does, then when he came back in he ate and jumped on my bed. At least he's jumping again but he seems to be hesitant at times. I will keep monitoring him.

Sometimes cats just don't feel 100% for a day. For me, I get concerned if that behavior lasts longer than a day. Good for you for noticing that things weren't right though! Some people aren't as in tune with their animals' regular behavior, or think they're overreacting and ignore their instincts. I'm glad he's doing better.

I think Jack is back to normal. I'm still monitoring him just in case. Thank you both for the support.

Jack is Back to normal. He comes running when I call him now and is acting normal in every aspect. Praise God!
