I have lost 1 pound. It's not much, but I haven't been doing much to lose weight. We go for walks often and chasing my daughter around the park can be a good work out. I'm trying to cut down on portion sizes but I am finding it hard at lunch time. I don't eat much for breakfast and I'm ok eating less at dinner but I find myself very hungry around 1 pm.

Way to go, ladies. You're doing well! Congrats, Pat on maintaining and losing that .32 pound. Tammat, you're like me. I have those eating issues, too. Right now, I'm doing fairly well, but.....  Mrs. B, congratulations on that pound. Chasing children counts as a workout; it has to.

I'm back in this my friends. I am back :banana1:

6 weeks ago I started "bulking"- eating a little more to try and gain muscle. I was allowed to let my waist go up 2cm only. So this wasn't a free for all eat yourself crazy thing. I added in some cookies ect and went a little crazy as I believed myself to be invincible :lol3: My waist went up 4cm. I'm only 5'2 so that made a big difference. I didn't fit into my jeans.
The hardest thing for me has been working out how many calories I need. I stumbled across a website called ' eat more to weigh less'. I think these girls may have saved me.
My waist is down 2cm  so now I am where I am supposed to be.

Congrats Tammat on losing the extra 2cm! That is so true about a small amount making a big difference. My dietitian told me that once you get into maintenance, throw away your big clothes and buy things that fit nicely. Then when your clothes begin to be tight you know it is time to cut back! I mostly wear dresses and skirts so I haven't noticed a big change in my clothing yet.

Last week I gained .75 lbs after a Sunday wedding reception where I indulged. This week I lost that .75 plus 3 more! I have lost 18 pounds in 2015 so far, which is pretty depressing actually, but I have had some weeks of struggle and that's still 18 pounds I don't have to carry around with me anymore. (Plus under my previous regime, before my diet change, I would have been gaining!) I have 12 pounds left to get under 300 and I'd like to do that within the next month, although that will be difficult. If I can do it, that will be 81.25 pounds in one year.

Congrats to Tammat, Parsleysage and Catlover19...one foot in front of the other, if you stumble, you get back up and put that foot out there again.

I am 151.9, but I have had a new low this past week of 150.0, and am happy that I am within my range of 150-153.  I am enjoying having fruit or nuts on occasion as a snack, and simply eating more calories.  Still following CALP principles for how often I eat and what I eat.

Had another health scare end of last week...don't quite have this all solved yet, but I will.

Honestly guys, I really do believe you can.  I wish I could explain what flipped the switch in my head 4 years ago, to get me going, but I can't.  But I did finally get there..lol.  You will too!

My waist is very slowly decreasing. This week I am doing some fat burning workouts with my trainer so I will see some results.
As I said before though it's not the burning off of the fat that is hard for me it's my eating. For three weeks now I haven't binged. :woohoo:
Every afternoon I have a small serve of organic 85% dark chocolate. It has some great nutritional benefits and it makes me feel like I'm treating myself. For a long time now I've been having a cheat meal on Saturday night. For me it's usually a dessert. The trouble has been that I usually stumble by thurs or Friday and end up red handed in the cookie jar. For the last three weeks I have been having a small serve of icecream on wed night as well as Saturday night. So far it's working. I really didn't think I was capable of stopping after a small treat but i am. I think my secret is that I really don't like chocolate. I never have so I wouldnt binge on it. I am the same with icecream. Oh my goodness. I think I am learning moderation

Congrats Tammat - my way of dealing with ice cream is the single servings of Haggen Daz ice cream.  I find it very satisfying :)

My average this week is 151.8, down 1/10th from last week (when I was up 3/10ths).  So, maintenance is working!  I'm staying in that pocket of an average weight of 150 to 153.

My weight is down 800 gms for the week and my waist is 1.5cm smaller. Nothing really moved all week but I had a whoosh this morning. :woohoo:
I'm feeling really great.
I hope everyone had a good week too :cross:

That's great. My daughter wasn't born much bigger than that (she was 960g). I like to think of weight in terms like that.

I've been cutting down on portion sizes a lot. I took less chicken than normal for dinner yesterday and didn't even finish it.

I went back to a doctor who will do my hernia surgery on June 8th and I weighed 186. I can't believe that I went from 209 to 186 in just 2 months.

I don't eat much .

I am starting a program on Monday called 21 day fix. It's basically portion control and one 30 minute workout a day. I hope to see some good results with it.
