I was not a big fan of Advantage the original.  It did little to nothing for my furbabies.  I usually use Revolution and Frontline Plus and just switch them out back and forth.  Well, I was short on cash and I hadn't had any fleas for awhile so I let it slide.  Things were OK for a couple of months and then a friend brought over their dog....With fleas!  I had a problem right away.  I didn't have enough for Revolution and people have been complaining about Frontline Plus no longer working at the clinic I work at.  I had no other options, I had to go with Advantage II.

I wasn't expecting much, to be perfectly honest.   But, it started working pretty much right away.  I was grooming out fleas all night.  I was happy!  I thought to myself "If I don't have to reapply for 2 weeks, I'll be happy.  3 weeks, I will be impressed... But, the entire month- I will be ecstatic!"  So far, it's been 3 and a half weeks.... No fleas.  I will reapply next week for good measure, but I am very happy, impressed and ecstatic!!  It works!!

I just recommended this to another poster who was complaining of fleas despite using Revolution.  Really, as long has you have inside cats, there is no reason to use something like Revolution which cannot be used as frequently and does not have the ingredient that gets the eggs and lavrae either -- not to mention it's much more expensive.  For outside cats, it does target worms and heartworm, but for inside cats, I would say Advantage II is the best product on the market.
