Hi. I'm new here. Here is my story. I have a female cat (Trissy) she is almost 6yrs old. I got her when she was 6 weeks old. She was so loving, slept in our bed always laying on us couldn't put her down to eat dinner she would get right back up on us. We took her everywhere in the car, she would sit on my shoulder while I drove, or sit in the window etc. But now she changed she started to hiss and trowel and attack my husbands feet. We can't wear shoes or slippers she will attack. We had to take her to a motel for 2nites because the floors were being done in our apt. We left her other while we went to the store. When we came back a guy was teasing her and she was screaming and attacking the window. We yelled at him and he just laughed. It seems ever since then she changed. So I was told about a chewy calming product called Head To Tail calming and it works. She has calmed down a lot. Its a. Natural Goji berry we give her 2 a day. Pet Value has them 30 for $7.99. Mind you she still hisses but no more screeming and attacking. But last week she was constipated badly for 3 days she was sleeping and not eating. So I took her to the vet wow she was wild they had to sedate her for an enigma. When we went to pick her up what a shock a bill of $627.00. I flipped what for an enima and sedation. The vet did a bunch of other stuff I didn't ask for, what a rip off. She knew I was mad and gave me a discount wow big deal $533.00. Now I see why people abandon their pets. But I love her too much. I found out it was the new dry food from Friskies that made her constipated. So I researched and found out I could have gave her olive oil or vegetable oil, or pumpkin in her soft food. Live and learn the hard way lol.

Did the vet find anything wrong? If not It sounds like she has suddenly become insecure in her surrounding any changes in the household? Sounds like the floor being redone came after the behavior change?

No the vet found nothing wrong other than trissy being overweight. So I have her on a diet. The vet said trissys blood sugar was 10.7 and it should be 9.4. I cut out temptations. My husband stepped on her a couple of times with his hard shoes. So now he puts his shoes on in the hall or she will attack. No no major changes. On the day we put the tree up, my husband got me a chair to sit on he held it above his head cause there was no room Xmas boxes in the way. She started hissing and growling so I sat beside her and she calmed down and we were able to finish decorating.
