Tiddles is 6 months and has phases of being a good Hoover, eating his kitten food really quickly and finishing off Baloo's cat food (Baloo is 1 & 1/2)
When he has these phases he also has diarrhoea. Sometimes only just making it to the litter tray.
Do you think it's just the cat food that upsets his stomach? I've heard several times that cat/kitten food is the same and it's just labelled different for marketing.
Thanks in advance

Kitten and cat food are NOT the same, so if he gets these episodes only when he eats Baloo's food, that could definitely be the culprit.

What are you feeding each of them?  Sounds like whatever you are feeding Baloo, you probably won't want to feed it to Tiddles when he gets a little older,  unless maybe it's a case of just needing to slowly introduce Baloos food to him (if it's dry food).  Sometimes cats have sensitive digestive tracts and new dry food needs to be introduced very slowly.  Sometimes specific ingredients are the culprit.  You might even try giving Tiddles a probiotic to help improve his gut flora.  Many of us give our cats probiotics on a daily basis just to try to keep them healthy.

Here is an article about cats and probiotics:  http://www.thecatsite.com/a/should-i-give-my-cat-probiotics

Thank you for that, they are both on felix puches one for kittens and one for cats. They also have dry biscuits too.
I've just noticed that it may not be that though, and is worrying more than it just being the food.
When it's near the time that tiddles (6months) Is due his worming treatment, I always find a worm on the floor somewhere. Short fat and kind of slimy/mucus on it. We gave him his treatment last night and tere was one there this morning. Now I've realised he always has the loose vowels a few days leading up to getting rid of a worm. Is this the usual symptoms for worms? Or is this a vet visit?

Definitely a sign of worms.  I think that's your culprit right there

So, do you think the treatment is not strong enough? Or he needs it more often than monthly? Or is this just something to expect each month? The treatment is from the vet so I know it's the right stuff. Do I need to take him to the vet for another sort of treatment? Sorry for the barrage of questions but we only regimes Baloo in April and then Tiddles in June so I'm still learning about cats. I do know that they are awesome though :-)

I think you should bring the worms you are finding to the vet so they can analyze them and figure out precisely what species it is.   There are different treatments for different worms.   One size does not fit all.

Thanks for the advice, I guess I'll do that then. Although when we first got him at '8 weeks' and he excreted these and had loose bowels, the vet told us he was only 6 weeks and she didn't know exactly what it was. the person we got him from had been letting her kittens in the garden with vaccinations or even treatments. We and the vet were really cross. Feels like it was almost a rescue
