It's very possible that she's letting you set the tone. Cats are very aware of when we do things, so if you generally eat around the same time, she'll equate that with being "when we eat." Likewise, she'd likely picking up on your energy level - play when you play, sleep when you sleep, etc.
In essence, she waits for you to decide what you guys will do next.
