I bought some online and didnt realze they were only 125 mg per treat. The human grade tablets i was giving were 500mg each. The treats are so much easier to be able to give every 12 hours. (They only get wet, once a day.)

I assume they are both equal? So I would have to give 4 treats to equal 1 of the other tablets?

What treats do you give and how many mg's are they? I am going to have to make sure next time. I thought these were the same price but they are less mg's :(

I  have been using the Now Lysine powder but my cats do not always finish the wet food so it is a waste .

I am using these Lysine chewables and the cats like them . Also very affordable .

I was going to order these. But isnt it tru that they need to have Lysine every 12 hours? So it stays in their system?
Yes , they should have it twice a day .. I did not order these ones but if I did I was just going to give each cat  a 1/2 chew twice a day ..

I got 2  bags of Lysine chews at Petsmart . They had buy 1 get 1  50 % off ..

I use these.
They are 250 mg a piece. They are fairly large but are soft so I break them into two pieces and give them both halves at the same time. The majority of my cats will eat them.

My cat HATES the GNC lysine chews (also the only cat Ive seen that hates GNC high cal gel). He is very picky and also quite old and set in his ways... he despises me when I pop one in his mouth and wait til he's swallowed. Ive tried smashing them and mixing them into his favorite wet foods and he will turn up his nose at them every time. Or somehow manage to eat around the bits, i swear when I do that he doesn't mistakenly eat any of it.

Tomlyn also makes a chew I was considering trying, but he rather disliked that brands high calorie gel (though he will eat it if i keep it right in front of his nose for a minute, poor guy), so id guess the treats may have a similar flavor.

So i just buy Lysine capsules and break it open and syringe feed it with a little water. He's not particularly thrilled, but he's less unhappy this way than with the treats he absolutely hates. I also feel like the capsules (I use Solaray or Solgar) are higher quality or better absorbed because they seem to have better results.

Its also cheaper to buy capsules than the treats.

You could try the Now Lysine Powder . You mix it right in the wet food .. My cats ate it but were not crazy about it , they prefer the chews .

You can get a good deal on these treats at Amazon.com.  When I unzip the pouch, my cats come running.  I was able to buy these from my vet, but at a higher price.
