I was looking at Tippi's coat today and she's clearly grown a thick winter coat .

Thought it would be nice to post some pictures of our cats in their winter finery , she looks so warm and cosy , even the shaved part from her April spaying as grown back , she's like a big furry hot water bottle now .

Would love to see some pictures of our beautiful long haired cats I especially like to see a lovely thick neck ruff
Everything is dying off after a lovely English summer , but Tippi looks as snug as a bug in a rug

OH MY GOSH. Tippy is absolutely beautiful. Yes - the winter coats are all coming in and so glorious. I just dread that Spring shed. :lol2:

Oh I like this idea, I'm going to have to find some pics of my Sasha, she has quite an impressive ruff in the winter time.
We have been quite lucky with our weather here in the UK this year with it still being quite mild during the day, I've normally got the winter duvet on the bed by now.
Your Tippi is a very beautiful girl, such unusual markings. :D

Sorry it took me so long. I never use my PC anymore... handheld devices have taken over. Beans winter coat to summer coat ratio is quite dramatic. She almost looks like a different cat. I call it her "Arctic Survival Gear", and I have to brush her at least once a day. The cat never stops shedding although it is most dramatic (as you can see) in the Spring.

I guess no one else is interested in extra furry felines...
I will be posting some of my Sasha if I can get my old dinosaur of a laptop to stop going dolally on me.

Your Beans is beautiful, a very impressive ruff! We have a tv ad here in the UK at the moment for a mobile network and the cat in it looks just like your Beans.:D

I think she looks better in the summer time too. She looks sleek, and athletic. In the winter I always worry she's getting fat. Then I realize it's just 5 pounds of fur.

My vacuum hates her in the Spring and of course, she hates the vaccume right back ;)

I'm going to be posting some pictures of my fluff balls as soon as the colder weather starts. They get really thick coats in the winter.

Just you wait until the first snows start falling..........

This was Merlin in his thick Winter coat last October , these are the last picture's I took of him , it's still hard to believe that two hours after these pictures were taken he had passed away.

His coat was so thick but he loved been close to the fire toasting himself .

Not looked at these pictures since he passed , but I can see that there was something not quite right about his eyes looking at these pictures again , I thank god he went quick and didn't suffer.

I do miss my big fluffy old boy he was such sweet darling slept with me every night he would kick me with his big paws back over to my side of the bed , the vet said it was like a stroke he had , but as you can see he was a big beautiful boy up to the end

He's a beautiful boy. I'm so sorry for your loss, that must have been heart breaking.

I'm glad he had a happy life with you and was with you until the end.
