Uh hi,
I'm new here. I haven't yet figured out what subjects/topics go where so I'll just post here if thats ok..
Anyway, I have a 2 1/2 year old female short haired cat. I keep her indoors because I am one of those paranoid cat owners who worries too much and am even uncomfortable leaving her home alone when I go out because I'm scared something can happen to her or someone may break in and catnap her lol anyway. Lately its been extremely hot. I dont have an a/c nor a fan which sucks! I have to rely on cold showers but of course they're only effective those 20 minutes in the shower lol my cat has black fur, and we all know that dark colors increase heat. I've noticed during the past few day shes been getting the habit to sleep on the sink or sometimes the window right above it. I don't mind but sometimes she gets hair all over the dishes. I have filled her bowl with cold water and sometimes I even drop a few ice cubes in it. Apart from that, what else can I do to keep my cat "fresh" during this hot weather? I gave her a "bath" to try to cool her off but its not like i can be showering her every day. Sometimes she sleeps on the kitchen floor, which she is as I type this. What can I do to keep her comfortable during this intense heat! Thanks in advance.
