Back to the Future.......

OK. Watching this movie again. I just love it.

I find it funny how in the second instalment he goes into the future to the year 2015...that is so close!!!!

I don't think its gonna be like it is in the movie.

I know what you mean! I see movies from the 80's that are set in 2010 for example, and they have us all flying around in little "hover crafts" and robots cleaning our houses (I wish)...I think things didn't move quite as fast as they thought they would (thank God)

I also get chills when I listen to Prince's....errr....the artist FORMERLY known as Prince or whatever he is calling himself these days, singing "Tonight I'm going to party like it's 1999"...because when that song came out...I loved it, and thought 1999 was sooooooooooo far into the future it was not even imaginable....I think I was only 16 or 17 then....now I am 38....but I will never forget partying with my friends at that time and singing that song at the top of our lungs and having no clue how close it really was.

I remember thinking the same thing about Prince's song. I think that's why I liked Will Smith's Willenium song that said, "We're going to party like it's 1999, hold on, it IS 1999!"

I also remember when 1984 rolled around and everyone was comparing Orwell's novel to real life.

And how about: "2001, A Space Odessey"? Now that one was way off!! I remember singing 1999 at the top of my lungs also LOL

I graduated (high school) in 1984, and thank God it wasn't anything like the book! I do remember that book, though...geez...Big Brother is WATCHING....no...we are WATCHING Big Brother!!!!! (the TV reality show that is)
