Question of the Day, Friday, August 15

Good morning and TGIF! 

It's been a long week and I'm ready for my weekend to begin. 

I remember asking this question a while ago, but we have new members, so I'd like to ask again.

I am going to give you $1,000. But, you must spend it solely on yourself. You cannot spend it on your furkids or your human kids. Your SO has no opinion on how the money should be spent; it's your money. You cannot pay bills with it. This is a splurge only and you are to treat yourself and only yourself. What would you do with your $1,000?

Me? I'd find the nicest B & B around and spend the weekend there. Just me. Some books. My Nook. No cell phone, no computer. And I wouldn't do a blasted thing but lounge for the entire weekend.

... I can't put it in my savings? It's so much money, and I feel so compelled to buy for family and pets...

Does it have to be spent in one go? If not, I would start going to massage therapy again!! Space out the $1,000 for one massage a month and go for 13 months!

If it has to be in one shot, I think I would buy a new cell and then buy some clothes to replace my fat clothes, a damper pedal for my digital keyboard, I'd get the damper pedal on my piano back home fixed and the whole thing tuned, and go on a cruise.

I'd buy a new stove or fridge for my co-op!

I'd buy a new bike. $1k is an odd amount, though, as every bike I've looked at just now is either less than $800, or over $1200. There's nothing in that $1k price range. 

I would buy myself new clothes. I need new clothes desperately but I never want to spend money buying them. 

Ideally, I should use it as a payment on my credit card. But, if that wasn't an option of this question and I am forced to use it soley on myself... I would probably use it as a tattoo fund.

Read my mind my friend....I mean,...I would spend the majority in a weekend in Playa del Carmen and give the half for a new A/C for my home (one more modern) I could to live with that!

I am the same way!!!  So many of my clothes have holes in them.  Otherwise I'd look at a faster bike.

I think I'd get a really good manicure and pedicure, maybe some clothes like a new winter coat, and book a teeth whitening at my dentist, and after that the money would run out.

Use it for weekly massages until it ran out.  

One of those really good German vacuums that will suck up all the cat litter, fur, and whatever our zebra finches hurl out of their cages!

Clothes, merchandise of the things I like, maybe some craft supplies. I don't know.

- Ballet stuff. Leotards, tights, skirts, warmups, pointe shoes, slippers. Aww yeah!

(Oh yeah, and maybe some clothes too)

-Take a trip/travel somewhere, visit museums and sites and whatnot.

-Get a Pomeranian or Sheltie puppy.


Obviously $1,000 won't cover all three, but those would be some options

A large, sturdy desk with enough space for everything that's currently on my desk, including cat. Something like this.

Fix my truck, buy new(to me) clothes, the same laptop I am on now so husband can have this one back.

I'd buy the rest of the manga series I'm reading and get some new clothes. Also maybe a new piercing lol.

i'd buy the cedar pergola kit i have planned for buying many years from now (after all the other home improvements get done).

Omg I could have SO much sushi!
Lol I must be hungry because I can't think of anything else.

Easy one - anyone who knows me knows the answer -- put it toward a "cruise".
