Does anyone know the carb content for this food? I am looking for low carb and low phosphorus, and something of course that my cats will eat, which is the real challenge!! My cats just tried this food for the first time and they went wild for it! It's my understanding, but not yet confirmed, as I cam going to call the company that Phosphorus is low!

I found a site to calculate the carb levels. (after I manually figured out how to do it.)The buffalo is higher than I wanted around 9%  but the beef, chicken, and duck come in much lower...in the 3-4 range!

That is odd.  I know buffalo is leaner than beef but it isn't leaner than chicken, I don't know why that would make a difference though.  I am kind of stuck though.  One of my kitties can't tolerate beef and is allergic to chicken, the pheasant didn't agree with my other kitty.  I need to feed a variety so I don't have a kitty with a different allergy so I do feed the buffalo occasionally.

Thanks for the info on the carbs. I feed one of my cats Wild Calling. I've asked questions twice using the "contact' email link on their website. Once asking about phosphorous levels and once complaining about the gristle/cartilage? in their beef. No response. If you call, please let us know what they had to say.

I called Wild Calling today & here is what they said about Carbohydrates and phosphorus levels!!  However,I have to start by saying I am confused! I did manual calculations for carbs, based on their label and used the online calculator. Those two numbers were the same, but much different than what WC advised me! My calculations were much higher and put these levels into a range that doesn't work for me. These said these were not min or max but actually based on a current reading. Despite this, here is what WC said:: All canned varieties have less than 1% Carbohydrates!!!   Phosphorus levels as follow: Buffalo .64%  Turkey .61  Chicken .60%  Beef .58% Duck .58% Rabbit .66%.I believe,  Dr. Lisa Pierson's food chart, says to keep the carbohydrates under 10% and Phosphorus under 1% for diabetic and urinary situations. Always best to check with your Vet though! Thoughts?

I wonder how much "their current readings" vary. And since the leaning, currently, is towards low-carb, of course they will pick the lowest number they can.

Edit: depends on what their definition of what a carbohydrate is as well.
