Happy June everyone!  Practically every day my DD asks me "is it summer yet?!"  I'm afraid to say yes because then she will expect me to drag out the kiddie pool.  So I've been sticking with calendar date method for the first day of summer.
I'm not ready to give up the cool mornings and pleasant warm days for the hot, humid sweaty days!
I like that first sip of hot coffee in the morning!  It's always better when it's cool out too!

How do you take your coffee or tea?  Milk, sugar, fancy creamers?, black?, or far far away (not at all
), often?

We have grown to like the different liquid creamers.  DH usually makes the coffee in the mornings and then adds ice to his with the creamer.  (I need to show him the idea going around on facebook where you freeze coffee in an ice cube tray and use that instead so it doesn't water your coffee down!)  I don't usually get my coffee while it is still pipping hot but that's ok.  I add my creamer and enjoy.  On the weekends; my husband is fantastic, he will pour a large mug for me and leave it on my bedside table.
He's a morning person and I SOOO AM NOT!
He's really good to me.  I appreciate that little gesture so much!
Maybe I'll get some ice cube trays and make him some coffee cubes this week!

I take my teas black! I used to add milk and/or sugar, and sometimes I'll do so for nostalgia in my black (orange pekoe) tea, but then I find it too filling. It's easier and tastier for the vast majority of my teas to be drank as they are. c:

I like fruity teas for summer, since they're more refreshing. I used to drink commercial iced coffees and there are some Asian canned coffees I like too (already with creamer and sugar) but some of them give me chest pains, and some of them taste bad so I stick to tea. In my case, watering down coffee helps make it more tolerable for my body, haha.

Coffee is hot, black and bold.

Tea is lightly sweetened. I prefer iced tea over hot in the summer. Either mint tea or half tea-half lemonade.

I gave up drinking coffee a few weeks ago and now I'm a tea drinker. I have black tea with milk. I am also not a morning person.
Do not come near me until I've had my morning cuppa. ;)

I'm out of k-cups right now. The store in town is moving to another location, so they're closed. The only k-cups we have in the house is the Nantucket Blend for Iced Coffee. (Rick drinks iced coffee; I like mine hot) In a pinch, it's not too bad. Rick thought I wouldn't have any coffee until the store re-opens on Tuesday and he was a little worried....I need my morning coffee! I need it, I tell you!

Coffee with a splash of whole milk is a must in the morning. Then I love iced tea, no sugar no lemon. I even drink it in the winter.

I like fancy creamers in my coffee.  Iced coffee is good sometimes, especially when it's so so hot outside.  I like honey and sometimes milk in my tea (depends on the tea), but no iced tea.  I'm that odd Southerner that doesn't like iced tea.

mm.. Today is certainly a coffee kind of monday, huh?

I like mine with low-fat milk. Sometimes I'd get a flavored Bailey's cream- French Vanilla is my favorite. Over the summer I like Dunkin' Donut's iced coffee with low-fat milk with very little ice!

ARGH, you have to ask me that question today when I've just vowed to give up coffee and tea and do a 7 day detox?

I usually drink strong instant coffee with a large sugar and soy milk. (I'm not good at cow juice.) I have English Breakfast tea with just soy milk, no sugar. I try to limit myself to one mug of coffee a day as it makes me a bit jittery.

This week I'm doing a detox. Just herbal teas, no sugar or alcohol. (I'm already a vegetarian so there isn't a lot else I can cut out.) I know it will be worth it in the end but the first few days are always the toughest.

It's been 38 hours since my last cup of coffee..........

Coffee with a splash of real cream is what gets me out of bed in the mornings. I'm with you Winchester, love my k-cups. You should get one of those refillable cups and keep some coffee grounds in the freezer, for emergencies like you are experiencing now.

I grind whole beans (Columbian, Sumatran or House Blend - all from Kirkland) and drink one mug every morning with sugar and Hazlenut powdered creamer.

Woe unto the person who disturbs me before I have had my morning coffee.

I use the Tassimo and add cream and sugar. I used to drink them every day, but while pregnant I limit how many I drink.

I feel for you both!  I had to cut out coffee and severely limit my caffeine during my last pregnancy.  As we were driving home from the hospital with DS; DH asked me if I wanted to try the York Peppermint Pattie flavor creamer.
That's how the flavor creamer thing started for us.

I asked this question and then went to bed and dreamed off and on all night about poison ivy.  Every little itch woke me up.  No sign of poison ivy or anything on me; but too many stories lately and some suspicious (everything is suspicious) stuff around our burn barrel in the backyard.  Then I went and over sweetened my coffee this morning.  I dumped half of it.  I think I need to run through the drive through at Dunkin.

I usually just go with a tablespoon of sugar and a splash of whole milk.

When I've been exceptionally ambitious and made some cinnamon syrup, I'll toss that in.

If we're outta milk, I'll use the dry chai tea or hot chocolate mix.

I like it hot or cold... Have to remember that ice cube trick.

Can't do it black, though, unless it's very mild.

We have a fancy grinder that has coarse to fine grind settings, turn the dial for a few seconds, and you have just enough fresh grinds for either a k-cup or the coffee pot.

We were given a Toddy cold brew thingymabob, but we've only used it a few times.  It's too labor intensive for me (especially if I want to run my own grind).

Luckily for my husband, I prefer fancy creamers (Lucerne lol) and he prefers black, thick, "chewable" double roasted French roast. So it works for me because no matter how strong he makes it, I can add creamer! Lol

I started making iced tea about two weeks ago and will continue to make it throughout the summer. I like it super sweet. McDonald's sweet tea is perfect. For hot tea, I do sugar and milk. And my coffee, which I drink all day and night, probably doesn't even qualify as coffee. I brew it extra, extra dark so it can stand up to all my add-ins. Right now, I'm using sugar, a tiny splash of Bailey's Mudslide Creamer, and top it off with milk. Yum.
I have a bad sugar (and caffeine) addiction. I recently found out that my medication makes you crave sugar. Great. At least now I know why I eat so much chocolate. It is a good thing I have a high metabolism. :sigh:

My coffee has to be bold and rich with barely enough evaporated milk to change the color. I drink iced tea, unsweetened. Hubby likes the flavored coffee creamers.
