Here it is [may,2014] 5 years after being diagnosed/treated for hyperthyroidism at 10yo..now 15 years old
history
[2 pills has gone to 3 pills a day over time. Tapazole...last January,2014,Vet tests said all her vital organs were in very good condition....she loves /eats tuna fish[human kiind] almost every day to 3 times a week for years,,,,always has name brand can cat food and best dry food available/water..24/7/365...she has a very good quality of life...misses her daughter/companion who died at 12yo 2 years ago]
She is looking more fragile by the day however when brought outside, she runs around like she was a young cat.
Her loss of muscle mass is really becoming more apparent.
What food and/or supplements can i add to rebuild her muscle?
I gave her raw meat [deli ham] yesterday, something she has never had and has turned her nose up at before. She went crazy eating the deli ham, chasing me around for more. She didnt throw up which i was expecting.
I know deli meats are likely bad for cats but i am wondering if her instinct told her the raw deli meat was a great source of protein for muscle building??
So my question is again, What food and/or supplements can i add to rebuild her muscle?
Is occasional or frequent deli meat or steak maybe, good for her? the protein benefit for muscle building.
I have seen refrigerated cat food,, any good?
Special cat food for hyperthyroidism?
Thanks for reading / replying.
