We are finishing a kitchen renovation we started almost two months ago. Ugh. I just need to finish a curtain today and DH needs to build a door for a cabinet he made to hide our water meter.

How is everything coming along?
Well the new stove came. I have to get use to using a convection oven as I've never had one before. All the appliance now match, yay! Counter tops coming on the 17th. Another cupboard got put up, so at least

I can get my dishes put away, thank God! Stilling waiting for my B-I-L to get hold of the electriction that he trusts. So slowly, but surely...Got rid of several boxes!

Kathy, my top oven is convection and I love it. You can really cut time off the roasting with convection. Squashes get done in no time at all. It take a while to get used to, but you're going to love it.

Can't wait to see the countertops!

We got an oven with convection around five years ago. I've rarely used that feature. :anon: :lol3: It sounds like things are chugging along. :D

Yes, it's going to be a bit of a learning curve, but when I have the time to sit down and figure it out. Lol. My Brother in law is coming tomorrow and working on the connecting the custom made ventilation pipe for the stove to vent the heat. So then we will be able to put up the range hood! Yay! Still waiting for the wiring to be move up. Because we've emptied so many boxes, we now have most of our living room back, Thank God!
. Just trying to talk Bruce into looking at some tile now for the back splash. He want's to have the counter top in 1st, and I agree. It's can't possibly hurt to look at some tile though!

So a whole row of the backsplash came off the wall. At the end of this run we have a stacked washer and dryer. I think the heat from the dryer had an impact on the glue. We are getting some liquid nails and trying to put them back on.

The countertops are laminate, but HD. Our countertop guy tried to talk us out of this, he doesn't think the mark up was worth it. But he said he felt differently when he brought ours out. He was surprised how good it came out.

Like how my sink isn't centered? Trying to fit a dishwasher, even an 18 inch one in our 100 year old bungalow wasn't fun. It doesn't bother us, but our kitchen designer was not thrilled when we made the mod. She felt we should have called a plumber so we could have moved the pipes. We were already way over budget, so un centered sink it was.

Oh no, Kathy! But at least you got 3. I'm glad your BIL will be able to get them in.....at least you'll have some counters to work with.

How have you been doing with meals and such? Tired of eating out yet?

Update's to our kitchen reno. All the cupboards are in and finally all the counter tops too. There is another counter top with cupboards right of the fridge. Too messy to show. Were still in the process of cleaning up. We will be ordering the tile. We will have a nice mosaic tile that has multiple variation of

the same color scheme between the cupboards and the counter top and then a plainer color to offset that. It will look great , great contrast. Note the new stove as well. Can't say I like cleaning the top of it though. It's a glass ceramic top. Just curious, has anyone else had experience with one????

I love the look of it so far
My husband Bruce cleans up the sink.

Love the counter top

New stove
