hi all,
I have just joined the forum, have just got my own appartment and have also adopted my very first cat. his name is Pasha. he is turkish with white hair and amazing blue eyes. Pasha was born deaf and is now 2 years old. he's is one fat bum cat and weights 7.7 kg. he was 8 when i got him 4 weeks ago so we are doing well. the vet says his idea weight is 5.5 so he is currently on a diet with special food.
Pasha has a rough day yesterday. I had walked in home this weekend to find lilly pollen stain on his hair. I didn't think it was a big deal although did bother me. next day it was all over his face and close to his eye and my gut feeling called for the vet who tells me lilli pollen is poisous for cats and he had to be shaved off and vaccinated. Pasha had to also be microchiped so they left in for the night to sedate him and get the grooming done
what's bothering me is one of his eyes still stained with yellow which is such a shame.
he's very quiet today, had not even made a step on his tree but i've read on the forum and it seems to be a normal reaction.
I know cats in general better stay indoor and espcially deaf cats but I would like him to get some workout so concedering taking him out after leash and harness training. has anyone tried so with deaf cat?
