Hello everyone, my cat is half way through her pregnancy this is her first litter so I wanted to be prepared in case I have to step in, I have taken her to the vet, and they weren't very helpful! (They said they would send leaflets out to me 2 and a half weeks ago, nothing, so I called in and then they said they'll get someone to phone me... Still nothing!)
Anyway, I would like to know what I may need, such as some sort of heat source? I Just need to know as much as possible. I'm aware that they have to be warm cause the cold can be Fatel for a little kitten. I read something about giving a struggling kitten glucose? Is that true? thank you, any information is greatly received!

I am no expert but my cat just has her kitten and I try and let my cat do her thing. Her motherly instincts kicked right in and we have has very minimal issues where I've needed to intervene.

As far as temperature, you should be okay with towels underneath..the main thing is that mama cat stays near the kitten. We keep our house 70° but mama and kitten are always curled up with each other. There are some good links I'm sure someone will post for you that will tell you a lot of what you need to know.

Good luck :)
