Such a beautiful story, I'm glad you found love in your new kitty Mouse. Is she still a baby? It must have been heart breaking to leave little George behind. and Nixie is gorgeous. 3 beautiful cats :-) I think I will want to keep one of my Tiggers baby's, but I'm scared that my male cat, Sam, will try to hurt it. He and Tigger do not get on one bit. I have to keep them separated at ALL times. It's a bloody nightmare at times.

i think Mufasa would be better fitting, wasn't Nala Simba's queen? What about Simba actually? That would be perfect because he had to fight for his kingdom, just like your little one is fighting for his life. He looks healthy though so I think you've done an amazing job at helping care for him when his mama couldn't? He may not have made it without you :-)

I still see george alot luckily! Mouse is around 4 months. We are currently spooning in bed lol.
Aww my flatmates adult neutered tom hated mouse. Now they play alot, sometimes i wish they werent friends, all hours of the night they run up and down the hallway! Mouses nickname is thunder feet due to her being so heavy footed. So you can see how it gets annoying lol.

Me as well,I think sage will be a great mom, I just kinda want the kits names to be like their moms.I don't know what color...Sage is a color that their isnt really a standard for so I don't know, she could have white, orange tabby, brown tabby, blue tabby, gray, black,Tortie, blue cream, torbie,or her color.I imagine Tigger will have some beautiful tabby kittens(because usually when a tabby breeds with anything the kittens will usually be tabbies.)And just being curious Tiggs,do you have an idea of who the father of Tigger unborn kittens is?

Well I kind of do have an idea, I have seen 3 intact male cats hanging around the house over the last couple of months, next door have a female cat too so it's like a local gathering for the boys lol.

One is a stray longhaired white cat, I'm only assuming he's intact because I've not seen him around here before. He's very skittish though so catching him would be difficultly.

Another is a longhaired ginger cat, i know this one is intact because I know his owner, he lives a few houses down my road, beautiful boy he is.

And the third possible dad is my own cat, Tommy, he and Sammy (my other male but neutered) are brothers. But after I took in Tigger there fights got worse and worse until Tommy ran away! I hadn't seen him for around 3 months, I hoped someone had taken him in, then i saw him a lot through January and February, which is around the same time Tigger got pregnant. I tried to keep him in the house but he only stayed a week and went again. He's black with white paws and neck.

So I really have no idea what colour these babies are going to be. Im kind of hoping for a grey or ginger tabby though!

Usually brown tabbies do have orange tabbies....
Nope they don't

A brown tabby female will only have orange kittens IF the father cat was orange colour himself. The red gene cannot be carried by a brown female, the red gene is dominant which means it will always show up on the cat coat colour if they have that gene.

The only way a brown tabby female can produce a orange kitten is if she is actually a brown TORTIE tabby. ;)

how can I tell for sure she is not a brown tortie tabby? I just thought she was a brown tabby, or  mackerel tabby I think the official colour is. I don't much about colours, breeds, patterns etc.

She will have red patches in her coat colour if she is a tortie. If she just all brown then she is a brown tabby not tortie. It does get confusing lol :lol3:

If you want to post a picture of her I would be happy tell you if she is a tortie. :D

There's a few pictures on the first page.

I think she is a torbie. So she can have orange kittens, even if the dad isn't. No guarantee that she WILL have orange kittens, because they can get either color from her, but there is a possibility.

I didn't think brown tabbies could ever have orange babies---even if the daddy is orange, she can only pass on the brown so she could have torties but no all-red tabbies. Right?

I will post a picture in a second, my description of her would be brown tabby, although her fur does have some ginger/red shimmer to it in the sun. but on pictures it kind of just looks light brown! I was never really a cat fan until I got mine 3 years ago, it was only by accident really that i got my first 2, because the woman who I got them from just wanted rid of them. Several weeks after I got them she took the mother and the rest of the kittens to a cattery and claimed she took in the mother as a stray and she had the kittens. This was a total lie because i know the woman very well, she's my step mum, and I know that her cat had been pregnant 2-3 times a year since she was 7 months old. She just couldn't be bothered to get her spayed. in fact she had another female cat that was the same. but she had her spayed, only because she couldn't handle her 7th litter delivery and nearly died! Some people just shouldn't keep animals.

anyway the photo! lol

Oh thanks for that Willowy Ive just had a look :D

Nope she is a brown mackerel tabby no red. She is a very warm coloured brown which almost looks red making her seem like a tortie as apposed to a colder shade of brown which is almost silver.

I know it almost looks like red patches on the body showing though but it's not, that is her warm shade of brown undercoat showing though.

Check out my boy in my avatar picture - he looks red with black stripes. He not, he's just a very warm shade of brown that almost looks red. He's a brown classic tabby.
