Hi guys,

So I have a 22 year old cat who about 3 months back was diagnosed with a massive tumour around his stomach. Basically told nothing could be done.

However, he is very active. His symptoms are, urinating in the house (which he would never have done) and being constantly hungry, though loosing weight and very skinny.

He has got very thin, but eats everything and anything. I refuse to get him put down until he shows signs of having no energy or suffering. So my question is, are there any foods I can feed him to keep him fuller for longer, or to try and get a bit of weight on him, like bulking foods?

I'm sorry to hear about your cat, but what a life, 22 years!

I would consider asking your vet for Hill's A/D.  It is a very high calorie food, cats love it (fish oil), and is used in various medical capacities as a short term food, usually for cat's who are underweight etc.

Best,

Stephen

To get him to gain weight, try adding egg yolks to his food.  They are not only extremely healthy, but high in calories (for cats).  You should be able to just mix them right into his canned food.

that he has many more months of good times ahead.
