Any time now. 64 days is average but it's just a waiting game until it happens.

How do you know she is 63 days pregnant ?

I think that's when she was in season a few days after Christmas, I didn't know until my male cat was trying to mate her, but he's been done so I know he's not the dad, there was a stray cat hanging about our back door too, so I've just counted from when I notice that, she keeps going to my daughter wardrobe, she's still eating though, I thought the first signs were that they don't really eat much, although she did turn her nose up to ham this morning, thanks for getting bk to me

Right so it's a bit of a guessing game then :lol3:

Have you set up some nesting boxes for her ?

So are you keeping her in ? Not letting her out ? You don't want her having kittens outside

Plus you should also know that cats can come back into heat and get pregnant again in as little as two weeks after giving birth. So you must not let her back out side until she has been spayed

The best sign to look out for is her losing her mucus plug ( small white/green discharge ) when she loses this kittens are generally born sometime in the next 24 hours after that.

Sorry didn't mean to re post that I'm new to all this, yeah I'm not going to let her out now unit she's been neutered, I feel guilty as it is, I've places a couple of boxes around the house, she keeps meowing for me to follow her back up stairs to the wardrobe, when I leave her there for some piece and quite she comes to follow me, bless her, I guess she just feels safer with me around, thanks for your help, I really can't wait, excited one minute nervous the next, hoping everything gose ok,

Yes, this is connected with prelabor.  One of our forumites even found somewhere on Internet mentioned its good for releasing the birth hormones.   Im sure it also works as a pleasant massage.

Not all cats like to be rubbed there at oncoming birth, but some do.

So just to follow her wishes!

Good luck!

Thank you so much, I was reading everyone else's post and it's all so helpful, so I thought I'd join too, I just hope everything goes ok, today she's hiding in my daughter jumper draw, going to have to move the clothes and put some towels and blankets in there I think,

fleece and flannel is best, no risk of fastening in the kittens small claws.

but he first  rounds will get bloodish and filthish..  so for the first rounds use something you can discard.  Or wash in almost boiling water.

Cats usually follow there owner or the person that the bond the most with. Unlike stray or ferel cat births they are aware that you can help them if anything goes wrong and they want the comfort. My friends cat did that to her and one of my rescues did it to me.

When Lilly (My rescue) was about to go into labor she started to pace around me and constantly meowed. She walked a few paces and turned around and meowed so i followed her. She was heading to the woods and i sensed that she was going to give birth so i motioned my hand to her and had her follow me. I definatly didnt want to pick her up so she and the kittens would be confortable. When i led her to the house i let her pic a spot of her pleasure. Which was under the sink. My friends cat chose to be under her bed. She may be touchy to you moving the blackets so have them on hand. Good luck with the kittens and definatly post lots of pictures.
