Hi All!

My cat Luna has been eating simply nourish chicken and rice kitten food, and she loves it. But I'm trying to transition her to simply nourish chicken and rice adult cat food... and she won't eat it! What do I do to get her to eat adult cat food? Also she used to eat wet food but all of a sudden she stopped. I want to still feed her wet food a couple times a week. I'm worried she won't transition and is too picky. Please help!

Thanks!

First off, to transition her to the adult food, mix in a little of the adult food with the kitten food just a little at a time, gradually increasing the adult food and decreasing the kitten food until finally there is NO kitten food in it.

But, really, it would be better for her if you could switch her to canned altogether, not just once in awhile.  Have you seen these threads:

I agree with above. Maybe try mixing in some of the old food with the new. If that doesn't work, you'll have to try another food that's more appetizing!

As with the wet food, stop offering it to her for a while.. then reintroduce it to see if she'll eat it then. My guys won't eat wet food at all. They'll take a few nibbles at the most. You could also try mixing in some of her beloved kitten food in the wet food to entice her to eat it.
