Thanks! They are all black and white except one, he is black with some tabby stripes like his mom :)

Aww they're gorgeous, has she let you move them all to the nesting box now?

Thank you! And no, when I try to move them, she just moves them back. so for right now they are in a spot on my bed where I won't roll over on them and they can't fall off. They did fine last night, but as they start to move around more I'll have to figure something else out.

I think if Olive wasn't right beside me when she had the first one, I never would've known until I woke up myself. She didn't make any noise the entire time and I didn't wake up until I heard her cleaning off the first baby right beside me.

I also have a question though. Oswald is the smallest kitten and the past two days I have noticed him hacking like he needs to throw up. Then a few minutes ago he started to do the same thing and this time he threw up something yellow. I'm pretty worried about him since he is the runt. Does anyone have some ideas of what could cause this? Should I be worried? Thanks!

kittens can get sick and go "downhill" (get worse) very, very quickly. i'd have oswald looked at by your vet. if olive and the other kittens haven't been to the vet's for a check up after olive gave birth, then they should all go get checked -- just to make sure they're all doing fine.

sorry -- something funky happened when i clicked on "submit", and this post didn't appear as posted. so i re-posted and now there are two replies/posts from me.

I agree, you shall probably visit your vet with him.   If the others seems entirely  OK, its seldom necessary to show  them to the vet, but this one - phone at least and ask.  If your vet accept telephone questions.   Do it asap - it can go quickly down as forumist above said.

How is he otherwise thriwing?   does he gain weigh practically every day?  How much?

Does he gain weigh these two past days?

Kittens seldom threw up, so it is something peculiar.

Also, it can have been coughing, and so he threw because of coughing - happens with people, so why not kittens?

Be sure he is warm and well fluided.

Good luck!

Hi everyone, thank you for all the feedback. unfortunately, Oswald died a few minutes ago. He wasn't eating or getting any bigger and Olive wasn't taking care of him as much as the others, so I'm sure she knew he wouldn't make it much longer. I am very sad about losing him, but also happy because now I know he isn't suffering anymore.
