Congratulations on the two babies. I love the little black one. Hope the delivery finishes up nicely and mama cat can rest and be proud of what she did.

So glad the delivery went well! The boys are adorable.
The soothing music will keep her from becoming overwhelmed. I think she may be all done for now, but there is a slight possibility that she may be delivering more. @StefanZ  will probably be able to help you out on that one.

Please keep us updated and lots of vibes for Lilith and her new/possibly to-be-born kittens!

...I'm not feeling any other movement. On the other hand, her belly is still quite round. Is it possible she ended up pregnant at two different times?
Such happens, seldom but not unique.  Typically they both litters come three weeks apart, both these litters may be healthy.

IF this is so here, you will not feel the other wave move as yet, or just barely.

Glad you found why she wanted to move her kittens so often, so you can have a working system with her.

Good luck!

Aww that's so sweet that she doesn't want to be alone, she obviously has complete faith in you, they look so cute and she looks like she's being a good mamma curling up with them. Keep us updated

She is a peculiar cat. Aside from the past ten years, I've spent my life having a cat in my home. I've never seen one like her, that *wants* the human intervention with her babies or to be around people with newborn kittens like this.

Today, she comes out and puts her paws on my leg with a loud meow. I have to follow her. Ok, into the bedroom. I thought she wanted the kittens out here, but she took one back in. Turns out she just wanted them on my bed for nursing.

@StefanZ

Here are pictures of Lilith without her kittens. Do you think a second litter is possible?

I suppose so....  although its impossible to know, unless a vet does check out, best by ultrasound, but good palpation may be enough...

It is really the safest and best, if you have a  vet at hand.

Otherwise it is just to wait and see....  As she by every other way seems healthy although a little jumpy mom, but also loving mom, there is no reason for you to be nervous.

Unless she is showing a deterioration in health, I'm going to take a wait and see approach.

We've decided to keep both boys...all three will be 'fixed' and that way, we know there will be no more kittens from any of them AND that they will have their forever homes. We're both suckers for animals. lol

My in-laws still had Lilith's sister, who was also pregnant. She miscarried at 6 weeks and something went wrong with her. She died. :-(

Yeah, that's pretty much how it goes for farm cats :(. Good thing for Lilith you came along!

Aww, you keeping both of them, that's so sweet. Good thing they're boys, too---sometimes mamas and daughters don't get along when the girls hit adolescence (just like people ;)). But mamas and sons usually do great. That's the good thing about small litters. . .

Without trying to sound mean...I'm glad Lilith only had the two AND that they're both boys.

My mother in law had said that if there were females, she would take at least two. I didn't really want to do that, because I know they wouldn't be fixed or receive basic vet care. My in-laws are not abusive, but they are on a very tight budget right now...they were supposed to send one of their miniature horses out to their daughter, but plans fell through and they were caught at the last minute with having to get food to get the horse through the winter.

When she found out today that Lilith had two boys, her only response was 'Good. I don't want any more cats, anyway.'

*shrugs* Ok. Works for me.

When our cat had her kittens she seemed lost without our help and involvement. She would look at us with her face saying 'I'm sorry! I don't know what I did, but can you help me with these little squirmy things?'. She would have us move them around in the box ( she would lay down with them behind her a lot) and she never cared if we picked them up and took them away from her. It seemed really strange to us because she wasn't even our cat until she had the kitten on our patio.

LOL!
Lilith is a good little mum, but comes to us for...I guess confirmation (?) that she's doing things right. She is very protective of them and gets quite upset if they cry loudly. Weighing them means having her right there, watching like a hawk.

They've been on my bed for most of the day, blocked in with a large blanket and two pillows to make a nest. One managed to get over the blanket and was almost to the point of falling off. Instead of moving him herself, she came and got me to put him back in the nest. Then she was content to sleep for two or three hours with them nursing.

Babies just had their weigh-in. I've been a little worried about the black one, because he lost weight on the first day, dropping from 117 grams at birth to 112. He is now up to 137 grams from 114 yesterday.
The little grey one has been steadily gaining. 101 grams at birth and is now 129 grams! Both are sleeping well, eating well and are fairly active.

The cuteness of yesterday, cleaned up for visibility. They spend their days on my bed in a blanket and pillow nest. At night, they're in the wardrobe on the heating pad. :-)

Their eyes are starting to open!! Grey has gained 13 grams, and the black one has managed a whopping 20 gram gain in one day!

They're a week old and today was their last weigh-in. Both are now at 196 grams and doing very well. :-)
Lilith has settled into her role as mother very well, although she will still come and get one of us if she feels she needs help, support or just some extra attention.

She is no longer pregnant. Her rotund physique has slimmed down and she is looking 'normal' again.

Now to hunt down an affordable vet to have all three 'fixed'. THAT will be the challenge. But we will find a way.
