Maybe soon?
Babies have dropped more..I didn't think that was even possible. Her appetite is odd..she acts like she's starving, but isn't eating as much as usual. She's going from OMG crazy, tearing through the house to laying around like she's about to fall asleep. Her temps..I'm to the point that I'm pretty well ignoring them. They make no sense. But she's washing herself more as well. And today is the most vocal she's been since her first couple of weeks here and that was over a month ago, now.

So...who knows. May be tonight (doubtful), may be next week?

I hate the waiting game. LOL I thought it was bad when *I* was pregnant. I think this is worse. :p

Well, it MIGHT just be tonight. She's starting to lose her plug, she's LOVING belly rubs, is VERY vocal and generally uncomfortable.

Add in to those that I can watch contractions and....*fingers crossed* Hopefully tonight!!!

Oh..and before I forget..she has six nipples on one side, with two really close together, and only 4 on the other.

Is this normal?

I haven't counted nipple but my Molly also has two that are close together. So I guess it's fairly normal.

Definitely sounds like this is it for her, I agree it's almost as bad as being pregnant myself with the waiting and not knowing when it will happen and reading too much into every little sign

It's now 11:35 p.m. She's snuggled in with her babies, but is panting. I'm expecting to hear #3 within the next few hours. Their box is in our bedroom, so I'll be right there. :-)
She keeps giving me that super proud 'Look what I did!' look. LOL

If she has pauses, its OK.  but you dont want several hours active labors, fruitless.   The nextcoming kittens should come rather smoothly, so if the active labor for third etc kitten takes much more than 30 min, contact your vet.

*vibes!*

@StefanZ

Good morning!
So..she woke us up at 3:30, meowing and panting. But no more kittens (yet???)
At that point, she moved the kittens from the box to the wardrobe.

It's now 7:30 and she seems like a very nervous mum. With us up and out of the bedroom, she decided she must move her babies to wherever we are. So she dragged one of them out here! I've got her back in there with the bedroom door shut.

Her belly isn't soft. It's still quite firm and rounded. Just not as big as it was..maybe half the size? I'm not sure what to think. She doesn't seem to be going through any overt stress. She's eaten a few times and has the same energy as before.

I understand she is NOT in any active labor, nor distress. "just nervous" as some moms are.

So I hope the situation as such is OK. Continue to be observant though.

Are you weighting the babies every day?  This is useful to do in many situations.

I have read of some cats having as much as 24-48 hour 'pause' before continuing with active labour, can you feel any kittens moving in her belly?

Hello. I am not home right now..my husband has an appointment. Three of my kids are at home and taking care of her and the little ones with strict orders to call me if something seems wrong. I also set up a bottle with a nipple and taught them how to mix the formula. They were to look up kitten feeding on youtube, just in case. I weighed them at birth and will again as soon as I am home.

Oh wow congrats!!!! They are so cute...poor mamma I bet she is drained. I took Silver to Doc...she is fine and she should go any minute so the waiting continues. Im happy for you and her. Enjoy your babies.
