Hello there! It is Christmas Eve!
I wish everyone a great season!

What is your favourite Christmas decoration in or on your home?

It is hard for me to pick just one, but first came to mind would probably be the golden sparkled pine cones that are decorated along the window. Then of course there is the tree, where I love all the lights and candy canes on it!

I haven't put much up this year but my cards look nice and I've got a sparkly little reindeer tree decoration hanging up under the mantelpiece where the cards are so that corner of the sitting room looks festive.

I have none... With how rude customers are and how busy and tiring it is, I haven't wanted to think about Christmas more than I have to...

A blown glass Christmas tree ornament that I got several years ago during a Santa swap sort of deal in a forum for parenting. It's absolutely stunning. I have no idea how much it must of cost, but a lovely Wisconsinite bought it and another personalized ornament for my family and me.

And... I just went to take a picture of it only to find it's not there. That's curious. I know I had it when I was decorating the tree, but it's not on the tree or in my ornament boxes. I wonder if it somehow got knocked down and broken and hidden so I wouldn't be upset... :/

My hubby had a Coca Cola tree before we got married.  It has a couple of music boxes that go underneath the tree.  I love them.  I am a coca cola fanatic and one day will have a coca cola decorated kitchen.

I haven't decorated as much as we usually do. We have wreaths with bows on all the windows and spot lights shining on them from the yard. We have candles in the windows. In the living room is the tree, a live poinsetta, a lighted angel, a lighted clear Christmas present ornament wrapped in a bow. On my coffee table is my favorite decoration. I am living on the land what was my grandparents home place. My brother in law made a wood replica of the old farmhouse in which we grew up. I have it there on a Christmas table spread as a nostalgic thing. I think that is my favorite decoration I have put out this year.

It's my pussycats stockings. I was only able to get three. Because I bought them years ago after Christmas. And this year we over decorated. As I was setting up my 4 foot ceramic tree and my Santa Claus collections I placed each cat on the table while decorating so no one got curious after we went to bed. 6 cats and not a Santa out of place.

Natalie_ca, that bird ornament is beautiful!  Where do you find them?

Most years we don't have a tree and we don't really decorate for Christmas.  Nonetheless, I have a small silver ornament tree that I leave out year round and every year at this time, I buy three ornaments--one for me, one each for my older and younger sisters.  I started the tradition years ago--sent them a letter and ornament saying that even if we weren't together for the holidays, we could each hang the same ornament on our trees and have something to remember each other by.

So my favorite decorations are my "sister" ornaments.

Those birds must be truly beautiful; the one you posted is gorgeous.

I don't know; we have a lot of really nice ornaments. It would be hard to pick just one.

I think what I like best of trimming our trees is picking up an ornament and saying, "Oh remember we were here when we got this" or "Remember Hydrox tore through the house with this in his mouth!" or "Graham gave this to us when he was in Germany" or things like that. Most of our ornaments have a story behind them....where we got it, who we were with, who gave it to us, something. And it doesn't matter how many years old it is, we still talk about it when we put it on the tree.

Some time I'll take some pictures of our ornaments.

I just thought of something, so I'll post it. We have my great-grandmother's metal icicle ornaments. They're nothing fancy, especially anymore as they're ancient by now. But they're just metal ornaments painted to look like icicles in various colors. Grandma gave them to me years and years ago. We always put them on the tree. And they're among our favorites.

My mom had a tree topper that looked almost exactly like that. I'm thinking her's had gold trim, though. She absolutely loved it. Probably her favorite.

And here's the one I was talking about that I couldn't find. It was right where I put it! I'll blame being exhausted for not being able to see it.
