Hiya! I hope everyone is doing well

What is the strangest thing you have ever eaten?

It's not too out there, but the first that came to mind for me was snails (Escargot). Though some people found me eating Salty Liquorice strange

Rattlesnake, it tasted like chicken
with a little refried beans thrown in. I also ate octopus, but don't remember the taste, just that it was rubbery.

I eat just about anything, and if it's something interesting that I never experienced before, it calls me from the menu. The strangest, or one that many people wouldn't eat probably is rattlesnake too.  I also like all kinds of offal which others might pass over, like calf brains (also mentioned above).  Pretty much if you cook anything right, it will taste good.  Of course, I have my limits and dislikes (I honestly don't think I could eat a cricket, or any insect!) but overall nothing seems too odd to me.

I had frog legs too, but I don't think that is strange. Oh, I also remember when we were kids, my grandpa brought home some meat and told grandma to cook it. They never said what it was until we were eating it. It was bear. All I remember about it is, the more I chewed, the bigger it got. I have eaten some wildlife that some folks would consider strange, like ducks, geese, dove and quail. I liked it all, except maybe the bear.

Calf brains, testicles, lots of organs, rattlesnake, alligator, wild boar, guinea pig, pelican...pelican was incredible but also illegal. I did not like guinea pig.

LOL! My husband would agree with you! He refuses to let me cook it, says it stinks too bad, so I can only have it in restaurants. Then when they ask him what HE would like, he says" I'd like another table, please". He does stay at our table of course, it hasn't got to that point yet!

Grub (Large white larvae) and fried spiders.

The grub I was dared to do. I have a friend who is Australian, I think the dish was called Witchetty. Oh gosh it was really hard to try lol fried spiders were easier in comparison, and was willing to be adventurousfor that one. Though I wouldn't eat fried spiders again either.
