Oooohhhh I love this box!!!! And I totally agree that you must find a way to use it year round!

The rest of your pictures were fantastic too. I just love how involved all your babies were- looks like they had just as much fun as you did! Excellent job Sivyaleah!

I know a number of people are still waiting on their SS packages, including my SS!
I promise it's almost ready, I just need to pick up that final, necessary item but pink eye and a sore throat have derailed my plans and have forced me to quarantine myself the past few days. If it's any consolation I can assure you it will be worth the wait and WILL be there before the big day!

C'mon darksiders we need more pictures- all the lightsiders need to live vicariously through you!!!!

Oh I'm SO happy you received the package (mostly) in one piece Pollyana!  Sorry about the one ornament breaking - I never would have thought that would have been the thing which would wind up with problems.  I was so worried about the maple syrup, especially when the post office sign said liquids should be wrapped in plastic.  And, glad the soap didn't leak too much either - I figured it was in plastic and wouldn't break but did have some minor concerns.

Oh and that box?  As soon as I saw it I knew it was going to be part of the gift - it was the last one left so I grabbed it!

Wishing you, the kids and kitties have a wonderful holiday.

Good news!  I found my camera (DH hadn't lost it; he was wrongfully accused...I don't know what to do about the one I've ordered).  Anyway, I took my gifts to the post office today, so I decided it would be okay for me to open mine.  DH wasn't here, so us Darksiders were alone with the box...

...the box from far away.
The gifts, wrapped.
Wonderful treats.  I have already sampled the dried pineapple and the mango balls.  They are delicious!
A cute cat necklace (I'm sorry I couldn't get a better picture), a calendar set, a beautiful tissue box cover (In red!), awesome desktop chimes, a paw print blanket, a Japanese lucky cat and more!

A postcard from the Philippines, a hint to the identity of my Secret Santa.
And where were all the cats?  Afraid of Rue, who helped me unwrap the gifts.  Daisy and Speck were in the room, watching from a distance.  Check out the straw bag the chimes came in; it's so pretty.  Thank you, thank you, Secret Santa.
I won't reveal your identity until after I've confirmed with you by PM.

I admit, I cheated and reached in for card so I could see who from, but haven't opened gifts. Even though envelope said, 'Open Last'

Over the river and through the woods...
I got a message from my MIL saying "oh, I forgot, there's a package for you at my house". Now, I haven't ordered anything that would be delivered, so I can only guess that I GOT MY SS PRESENT!!!!!

Now, the downside is....MIL is not home, and I don't know what time she will be getting home tonight, so I may not be able to pick it up until tomorrow (we share a mailbox and the postman always delivers packages to her house. Which makes it hard to order anything for her as a surprise...but that's another story).

Anyway, I probably won't be able to get it and post pics until tomorrow sometime. Which is OK. It's kind of like the Christmas Eves I had as a kid...anticipation is a wonderful thing. Plus it gives me time to clear a surface to actually open it on! (yeah, my house is a mess right now lol). Pics to come, I promise!

LOL, don't worry about it!  I picked up my SS parcel from the post office last Sunday and I haven't had a chance to open the parcel yet.  It must be driving my SS crazy knowing I have the box but haven't opened it yet, hehe!  But I have given it a shake or two!  ;)

I do plan on opening it this weekend though!  And I'll post pictures of the unopened box, and as I open it, but I'm not opening presents until Christmas morning!

We are gorging ourselves on Dark Chocolate Acai Blueberry candies!!!

I know who my SS is because her kitties signed their names to the card

Working on getting the photos together.   A most welcome surprise to get gifties on a snowed-in day.

Ok so here we go!

I happened to go onto my porch because I noticed the ottoman from the furniture set, was left in an area that was getting snowed on.  I was surprised to find a package sitting on the table out there.  And yay!  It was from my Secret Santa.

So, first of all the box had all types of warnings on it.  FRAGILE.  KEEP AWAY FROM HEAT.  This sounded promising.

So, I went to look for the kitties, so they could watch.  Casper was sacked out upstairs, and he's older and needs his beauty rest so, there he stayed.  Cocoa, was intrigued by the box so my BF picked her up to watch me cut it open.

:Lots to open!  Let's begin...

First, look at all these gifties!

The one on the bottom left look like it could be chocolate so I opened that first. Sure enough, it was a nice sized bar of dark chocolate (my fav) with sea salt, and almonds.  I don't remember mentioning how much I love the salt/dark chocolate combo.  It's one of my few candy weaknesses.  Great item to get on a day when you aren't running to the market (snow, snow, snow).

Then, I started gently cutting away ribbon and paper of everything else because, well, I already knew something delicate was in there.

NOT breakable.  Lots of tiny furry mice that I knew Cocoa would go nuts over.  There was also a huge canister of catnip - that would be Casper's weakness.  And, another toy of a bird with feathers; again, perfect for Cocoa's mad dashing around the house with her "prey" in paw.  And here she is, already batting one around.

More food appeared.  I had never tried these, and let me tell you it was difficult not to tear the bag right open.  Oh wait.  We did
I opened an oddly shaped one - and immediately realized this was the breakable one.  In it, was this stunning metal bird ornament.  It has a sort of vintage feel to it, which I love.  It going to be hung on one of the wood posts that separate our living and dining rooms, this way I'll be able to see it all the time.

Next was a unique little woven pouch. Perfect for storing loose items in my purse.  I took a photo with it and everything else because I needed to prop it up to get a good shot.

Thank you from me, Casper and Cocoabean to my SS in the state I work in; Cheylink and her lovely kitty, Maia.  Happy happy holidays!

So...

People at work look all worried when they hand me the phone because l NEVER get phone calls at work. Someone came up to me today with a distressed look, handed me the phone, and whispered, "lt's for you!!"

Well, it was my son. He said, "l probably shouldn't have called you at work but..."

l thought, oh no, what now.

He said, "l thought you should know before  you get home   -   the cats worked in tandem and tore open one of the gifts under the tree before l could stop them. Then they ran around chasing eachother for it. Now they're chilled and napping. Oh, and it's a banana".

LOL. So thank you to my SS for the catnip banana. My cats have gone to the dark side and gave us a laugh this morning.

That is hilarious!!!!!! That is kinda like how I KNEW one of my presents had catnip because Simon immediately grabbed it and started rolling around with it. That is so awesome!

I haven't opened the box yet, but I had some time to give it an "inspection", and based on her earlier description of the parcel, I have to agree, that is one ugly packaging!  LMAO

I'm off to church. When I get back I'll take pics of the box and open it and post pictures!

Thanks Andrya!!
