Folks: I came across this article while researching probiotic use in horticulture.  A specific strain of Bacillus subtilis is used to fight fugal and bacterial plant infections.  This story, which includes WWII, Nazis, and camel dung....is very interesting.  I'd finish whatever I was eating first before reading.  Have not verified the story though.....

If you are old enough to remember a show called "Hogan's Heroes".....and have a vivid imagination...your brain will produce some hilarious imagery.

Very interesting.  I'll bet there is something to this...you've no doubt heard of fecal transplants?  They are becoming quite the rage now, and very effective.  In a way, kind of similar.

If I ever have C.diff again, I will be a prime candidate for this procedure. But at least they clean everything but the strain of biotics they want out of the samples.
