Does anyone know what to do if a cat is poisoned with this shampoo? My cat is 8 months old and after bathing him with a mild amout of this shampoo he started acting extremely lethargic and his bowels vacated themselves without his control. 12 hours later and he has started eating and drinking a bit but his breathing is still labored, nostrils are flaring ans gums are light pink. Help, im not sure what to do and whether or not he is ok. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you

Take him to a vet immediately. It's been too long to simply thoroughly wash it off him.
:vibes: that he's going to be okay.

Ingredients in flea shampoos can be toxic, especially to cats. Even if you can't take him to the vet you need to call. Hopefully the worst is past and he's recovering, but if it was to much for him it can result in death for some animals. You need to at least make a call to your vet. This could be extremely serious. Many vets will discuss your pets symptoms with you over the phone. Please at least make a call.

He's back to his old self now, completely recovered. I tried calling my vet but they wouldn't talk to me on the phone, kept saying they would call me back and never did. On that monday however, i managed to get him to the vet but she said there wasn't much they could do, she told us to take him home and wash him down with dawn dish soap again to thoroughly remove any toxins on his skin. Since he didn't have convulsions she said he would probably be ok with time, she told me if he wasnt better in three days to bring him back and they would flush his system with saline, thankfully he was better two days after. He is now fully recovered, eating well and running around like the kitten he is. She told me of several other cases shes had where shes put cats on saline and it still couldnt help them.. its really sad and terrifying that products like this are out there. I have never had an issue like this before and i am so enraged that companies can sell crap like this to pet owners. I am just happy my cat was strong and pulled through it all. Thank you all for your advice and help.

I do love happy endings. I know you will share your experience every time you can to keep this from happening to someone else and their cat.
