My roommate's cat recently had 3 kittens and I decided to keep one of them. I've named him Stuart.
The mom decided she didn't want them anymore when they were about 3 weeks old so we weaned them early. They're about 8 weeks old now and we gave Stuart's brother and sister away to friends. They're both twice as big as Stuart and act completely normal, but Stuart would much rather cuddle and sleep than play. (Also Stuart was the same exact size of the other two when he was born.)
They're twice inbred (Mom's parents were related, and then mom mated with her dad) so I don't know if that might have something to do with Stuart being so little. He also had a seizure a few weeks ago but the vet said it was due to an allergic reaction to flea shampoo. He's fine now but he's not as playful, nor as big as his brother or sister.
He eats just fine and drinks water just fine. He has no problem going to the potty and nothing indicates that he's in any pain.
If it gives you an idea of how small he is, I bought him a collar and the diameter is less than that of a dollar coin and it's still too big on him.
Is there anything that might be wrong with him? Any kind of food or supplement I can feed him to make him grow? I'm worried, because I had a cat a few years ago that never grew bigger than a 4-month-old kitten and she died when she was about 3 years old.
