. Long time cat owner but after moving to a country property and loosing 2 cats to coyotes in 2 years I said no more. Until I was in the city (Toronto) one day and decided against my better judgement to visit the local shelter. This is when I saw the cutest and most dejected looking cat and I could not resist.
This is Jaxx a 21/2 year old Bengal. The first picture is him in his cage at the humane society looking very sad. He would not even get up to say hello. When I went to adopt him they told me that he had to be fostered first because he had apparent litter box issues when he was surrendered. They had found he had crystals but was treated and blockage was gone. I took him home and have been feeding him only canned vet urinary tract food as he does not like to drink much water. Needless to say after 6 weeks I did not encounter any issues with the litter box and he has bonded completely with our family but me especially. He is extremely vocal and is always "talking" and telling me how it is! The adoption was finally official yesterday so now I am planning on building a cat enclosure so that he can safely enjoy the outdoors! It's funny I didn't ever think I could ever love another cat again after loosing my poor Carlos but I just love this affectionate little "love bug ". So happy I took the chance on getting another cat!!

WELCOME!!! and yeah for you
What a gorgeous cat.  Sadly, I have lost many beloved friends over the years.  No matter how they leave it always tears my heart out.  Wild animals are probably one of the most agonizing way to go. (for me too).  Each loss has left an empty hole. I just gotta fill that up.  It seems our capacity to love is closer to infinite than we often realize.  Heaven help me if my finances ever catch up.
