I just learned of this site from the dog forum lol so thought I would check it out.
My name is Brandy. I currently have 3 kittens. Storm will be 1 year old in Sept, Willow is 5.5 months old and Lily is 12 weeks old. Willow and Lily we got from the same family that let's their cats have litter after litter.
We had one of their tom's for a while too but he went missing a few months ago. In the past we have had other cats, a senior we adopted, a pregnant one and her kittens we fostered, a few that went missing (1 we are sure was stolen, as many cats went missing in the neighborhood we used to live in, in a short time and then the "crazy cat lady" from around the corner suddenly moved away with like 30 of them, we and most of the owners of the missing cats think she took them) another went missing when we moved here, bolted from the house the day we arrived and we never found him. Lastly one I had to rehome last summer when I got too ill to keep up with her medical needs etc.
So yeah over the years we have always had cats with us. The town limit is 3 per household unless you pay for a breeders license, and since I will never breed them and feel 3 is plenty (especially with all the other pets we have), we are at our kitty limit.
Along with the 3 kittens, we have 2 pups, 2 tortoises, 2 hamsters, 2 hermit crabs, 1 corn snake, 1 gartar snake, 1 guinea pig, 1 betta fish, 1 salamander, 1 bunny and 1 hedgehog. So a mini zoo and we love every minute of it.
We got very lucky that our cats and dogs have tolerated/enjoyed each other right from day one. Storm prefers the dogs don't bug him, but he puts up with them, he plays with the other 2 kittens. Lily the littlest and one of my pups share a birthday and those 2 are like best buddies. Willow alternates how she feels about the other cats and the pups depending on the day, she loves to play with Lily, and cuddle with Storm and about 50% of the time she enjoys playing with the pups too.
I look forward to perusing the boards and learning even more about the best way to be caring for my sweeties.
