Update on Dad

There comes a time in one's life when you know that you have to let someone you love dearly go on to better things.

After numerous ups and downs in Dad's care during these last 7 weeks, the Doctors have finally come to us and asked us the one question that we all have been dreading. The Family got together and made the hardest decision that anyone could do, we chose to take all of the tubes and wires, etc. off Dad.

The Doctor has promised us that Dad will be kept as comfortable as possiable until he finally leaves this world. I sit here now and cry as I type this Thank you to all who have kept our family in your thoughts and prayers.


We will miss you terriable and there will be a big hole in our hearts without you here. We Love you Dad!

I am so sorry. I hope it will give you some comfort to know that when your dad is released from his pain and suffering and leaves this world, he will be watching over you all from a very special, wonderful and beautiful place.

I know somewhat of what you are going through. I lost my Mom when I was 21. The loss of a parent runs so deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Oh Cathi, I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I don't know the details of your fathers illness, but I can tell you how I felt when Mom passed(4 months ago this Sunday), and I hope it will bring some comfort at this horrible time. I felt relieved that Mom was finally free. I miss her enormously and will for the rest of my life but at the same time I know she's around and watching out for all of us. I can say with complete certainty that you and your family made the right decision. It is hard to let go, but sometimes it's for the best.

My father died of liver cancer five years ago - when his time came, it was heartbreaking for us to lose his companionship here on earth, but it was comforting to know that he was finally at peace, free from suffering.

Cathi, I am so very sorry to hear this. Sending you and your family hugs and wishes for peace. We had to make the same decision for my dad when I was 20. It was the hardest thing we ever did. My heart goes out to you and your loved ones. May your father have no pain, only peace.

Oh Cathi...I am so very very sorry!!!! My prayers, thoughts and my love are with you and your family right now. Just know that he is going to a much better place where there is no pain ever again! I had to say goodbye to my father three years ago, I know how hard it is. We are here for you.
