a cat i rescued last summer just miscarraged 3 kittens only a spot of blood, she looks almost releived as she was soooo big and awkward, fetus's were in their sacs, underdeveloped is it possible she could still be pregnant and keep them, and have them healthy, shes an awsome cat mom. being on a farm, ive never seen a better cat mom ever, feeling so sad for her right now

Yes, it is fully possible.  Bearing forth the others, to deliver healthy in their appropriate time.

Does she look ok, no troubles, no distress?  If so, you can probably wait and see, as long as you are observant.

If she seems in any distress, contact your vet asap.

Now, to the question. She had apparently litters before.  Had you though on spaying her? It IS our recommendation you do spay, if you arent a breeder.

Next; if she is such a good mother, you can perhaps let her be a foster mom?  You can cooperate with some shelter or vets around, and help them with motherless kittens, or litters where they are too many for one mom to handle.  This would also be some extra work for you, as you must probably bottle feed the kittens, but with a mom taking care of the rest, it is not very difficult.

You can do it after she is spayed, or even already now, if you think she is done  (although I understand you think she is NOT done as yet).

Good luck!

as what this cat does to talk to her babes, shes had one litter before when i rescued her, and her kittens, sadly we are literally broke and spading will cost about $600 with all the needles, so we are trying what we can to save up money first to get her son nutured, father is unknown either a neighbours barn cat, or her son :( is there anything i should be watching for at this time

That happened to a farm cat of ours,  she had at least one miscarried / stillborn premature kitten  . then a week or so later gave birth to 3 live kittens.  1 died but the other two were healthy and lived to grow up.

btw,  you might be able to find a cheaper place to get her spayed   .

Search for 'low cost spay' and your area ( county, city etc. )  or contact local rescues and ask if they know of any.

In the U.S. I know of some databases to search for clinics but I am guessing you are elsewhere

If you get the male neutered first,  keep in mind that he could still be fertile for up to 7 weeks after being neutered.

You could perhaps ask this Cow vet to make the normal neutering on the male cat like the do everywhere else, just a little incision and taking the testies out, the sacks are left?  THIS is no advanced surgery, so he can surely do it 5 minutes even in field conditions, even if he is not much used with cats, and even if he prefer not to neuter females.

a friend of mine that rescues dogs, she and i have been discussing seeing if we can somehow arrange help from a large animal vet for simple things for the general small animal population , or a normal vet at a discounted rate, if we somehow under a charity made a fund for anyone as we love animals, rescue them, as i know my chase wouldnt have lasted last summer in the drought without water and food, so we are going to look around, as there are simple ways of nueturing but will depend also on laws, as must be humane, in the animal right laws, for cows they simply put an elastic on the scrutome sac and it falls off....they dont seem in pain, and ive never seen one sick from it, but again it will depend on the laws, and what they are allowed with smaller animals but this is a great example taht there needs to be help out there for people who truly love their animals, not like the ones that get tired of them and drop them off growl................my cat chase has been running today, perky but tired easily, also hot outside. so ill just keep watching her

Since you said she was so very big and awkward already I would guess she  only had a week ,  or maybe up to two weeks  to go.

IF she still has live kittens in her you might be able to feel them moving. especially now there are not so many so it would be less crowded.

If she does not have any more kittens in a couple weeks , I hope you can  find somewhere  to get her spayed soon before she ends up pregnant again which would be hard on her ,  and If she had some kind of uterus infection, that might have caused the miscarriage,  it could certainly  cause her to miscarry again if she gets pregnant again.  or could cause kittens to be born live but sick.    & back to back pregnancies increases the risk of uterine inertia & needing a c-section.  and if they are charging 600 for a spay , I don't like to think what an emergency c-section costs.

I have heard there are quite a few  low cost spay/ neuter clinics in Canada   but it sounds like you are in a pretty remote rural area.     It might be worth it to drive a few hours if you can find a place who does cat spays for less.

I am surprised it costs so much!    That's like what it is at a lot of  vets in U.S. cities but I guess I just think of rural areas as having cheaper vet prices.   I know we paid  less in a rural area in the U.S.

There is also a possibility that she could have more dead kittens inside,  or placentas,  and the decomposing tissue would cause a major infection that could make her very ill or even kill her.  So keep an eye on her  and watch out for appetite loss, vomiting, fever, lethargy, wearkness etc.        I sure hope that does not happen.
