Beautiful pictures and kittens. So sad that one died. I see that he was much smaller than his brother. Sometimes, no matter what we do, we lose one.

Thanks...it was sad, but we had these 3 left to care for, so there was little time to dwell on it.  But makes feeding all the more stressful, because of our fear or aspiration.  I just posted on another thread about Jack (the black one) aspirating milk last night, but the vet gave her the all-clear today.  Prescribed some antibiotics just to be sure.

The one that died is not the one in the first picture -- those "twins" are actually the 2 that haven't had to see the vet because they haven't had any issues.  But yes, the one in front is definitely the biggest of them all.  He's a whopping 13 oz, while the other 2 are 11oz.  All kittens have almost tripled their weight since we found them 2 weeks ago :)

The one that died is the one in the picture of the 2 kittens with their faces pressed against the mesh screen....he was the one on the left.

I had to see your other posts in hopes of pics and you made my day.  You brought back sooo many memories.  I had my kittens in the same type of carrier.  In a few months you will look at it like how the heck did they all fit in there and so much room to spare too!!!

Jack is adorable but I have a spot for blacks and blacks/whites.  My hand raised litter is a brown tabby, a gray and a black and white.  Over 10 years old now and all real healthy.

Thanks :) I knew from the start I wanted to at least keep the black one.  I'm also partial to black pets.  I don't know why people don't adopt black pets just because of their color.  I had a black dog rescue, and she was the smartest dog ever.  My cat who passed away a few years ago was black with white markings, so I was definitely hoping this black one would be survive (which she is!).  She gave us a scare a couple of times.  When we first took her in, she was a few days old, and had diarrhea.  After a visit to the vet, and some probiotics, her poop is awesome (weird how we get excited about poop  LOL).  Then we had another scare when she aspirated some milk. Luckily, I think she got most of it out herself, but she's also on antibiotics that the vet prescribed "just in case".  But we're keeping all 3, so yay :)  I'm lucky my husband's a big time cat person.  I'm more of a dog person, but I love animals in general.

We picked 4 of the 6 out of a bush...looked like someone took 2 and put them in a box in a garbage can to help them but either did not see or hear the other 4.  2 from the bush made it and 1 from the box in can.

When I picked the black and white one out of the bush blindly I said to my mom if this one makes it I am keeping him.  He did.  He had some BAD times.  He was few days old and started going downhill real fast.  Vet was not possible(we were barely affording the milk as is for the 6)  but he started breathing slowly and gasping.  I just sat there holding him crying.  I was exhausted and layed down with him on chest.  Hour later I woke up to feeling a cat and yelled a bit thinking it was my young kitten(think she was 4 months old or so)  Nope it was Ben.  MEOW MEOW MEOOOOOOOOOOOOOW demanding to eat.  He was stronger then I ever saw him and after that was ok till he had urinary issues at a few months old.  He got over his urinary issues as long as he eats the right food.  many years later he was diagnosed as diabetic.  He was in bad shape and spent few nights in hospital.  nearly 2 k later he is now food controlled.  He has will to live for sure!

Now his brother had many issues to.  Trouble swallowing milk, massive eye infection that looked like he would loose eye, a scab on his pen1s that he had issues peeing out of shakes head.  He also is fine now.  The lil sissy shells never had any issues.  Always drank her bottles burped peed pooped and went back to sleep.  That litter has been a blessing.  You will never be sorry you got to experience this and will always treasure this litter like you won't believe.  it is amazing seeing the litter stay together.

Adorable babies and sounds like they are really gaining well!   What very lucky kittens to be found by an animal loving family.

Thanks everyone!  Yes, they are doing very well :)  As I mentioned in another thread, we're already starting to litterbox train them....just putting them in the box when we think they should pee, and so far so good.

I love their eyes!  They love to look up and just stare and stare and stare at our faces, like they're studying us.

Definitely agree, catsallaround...I can't imagine separating them.  Plus with all the emotional investment we've put in, we'd worry about any new family that adopted them.
