You know he's a keeper...

So, my boyfriend did not grow up with pets (his parents were both cops and they could not devote the time to properly caring for animals). When we met I did not have any pets because my apartment did not allow them.  

Then, when I moved, I got Lord Wilson (at about 7-9 weeks old).  My boyfriend became such a LW fan that I would catch him singing LW special songs like "I love you, kitty/you are a kitty!" (lol) 

Anyway, fast forward to me getting Lady Harriet...he said after being around her for one day he "completely fell for her."  

Then, today, I jokingly mention getting another cat and, unlike everyone else I know, he says that it's a great idea....everyone else I know immediately says "don't get a third cat.  You'll turn into the cat lady." This guy is a keeper.  He is always figuring out new games and toys for the kitties and thinking of things he could build for them. It's awesome. 

He sounds like a real man, kind and loving to small animals. Good for you for getting him hooked on having cats. His life will never be the same. Oh, and nice catch for you.

My husband was not a cat person when we first met, but I "kept" him because he promised me from the start that I could have a cat (actually what he said was that I could have a thousand cats--he was pretty head-over-heels!). This year, circumstances finally allowed us to adopt... and he was as eager as I to get two instead of one!

Sometimes I think he loves the cats more than I do! He's went from being a dog person to being careful to give the kitties only the best food and care. He even calls them our "kids" from time to time!

Yep, you are right. Completely awesome.

Rick is like that. Everything he does is for the cats. He's the main feeder person, he's the main litter box cleaner (I'm the scooper), and he's got the best lap. He always puts them first. Always. He's a good Pawpurr to them.
