UGH!! I could just shoot him!!!

Hubby bought a can of Pringles... the ONLY potato chips I really can't seem to say "no" to... and stuck them smack dab front and center on the eye level shelf of the pantry.

I could just shoot him. grrrrrrrrrrr.

So, after 3 days of them sitting there, staring at me like some devious jack-in-the-box every time I opened the pantry door, I finally grabbed the can, and marched it upstairs to his office. I plunked them down in front of him, gave him the "what for", and told him to hide them away, thank-you-very-much!

hmph!

That's awesome Abbysmom. I've gained but I haven't done the conversion to pounds yet. I don't want to either! I will post it in the morning.
Good luck everybody.
I just read the article. It's very good. Thanks Abbysmom.

I gained 1 lb this week.  Went from 335.4 to 336.4.  I'm thinking that being back on the steroid meds may have played a part in that but I'm off them again now, so maybe next week will be better.  Also I got a new DVD called Easy Yoga for Arthritis, and I'm looking forward to doing some of the stretching exercises in there.

I like the challenge of more veggies.  I will work at it throughout the week.  :)

Steroids and me are HORRIBLE. I feel I am starving to death and manage to eat ALOT!!! I take prednisone when I have bronchitis as breathing becomes very bad(allergic to cats...)

Have yet to get scale out. expecting increase as I had a bit to many oreos this week.:lol3:

This morning, I decided to try on a dress that I bought last summer, but felt it was too tight. I was going to donate it to the Goodwill, but decided on impulse to try it on. YEA ME!!!!!
It's now a bit loose, and I wore it to work, and got a few compliments on it as soon as I walked in the back door! Yeah, baby!

Karen, thanks for the article.  I love to eat fruits, but I'm terrible at veggies.  I guess for me it's about preparation.  A fruit, all I need to do is rinse and eat. Veggies usually need some kind of chopping, cooking/steaming... in other words; knife, board, pots & pans.
But I will try to remember that I do have veggies sitting in the bin, and I should find a way to incorporate them.

Pat, Conga-Rats!  I am afraid I am still sitting on my plateau.

Marge Cat, I am laughing, because I have a couple dresses sitting in my closet with the thought that "hey, if I can manage to lose a little, they'll fit again".  Hopefully I'll be able to do it, too.

KittyMommy, we're in the same boat this week.  I have nothing but red numbers to report.

I don't have a steroid excuse... unless you consider the natural kind, bleh.  I just had a crazy week, and did not eat well at all.  Lots of restaurant food.  oy!

BUT I DIDN'T EAT THE PRINGLES!!

Sometimes we need those small victories.

Measurments:

neck -   - ( .25)

ta-ta's   - ( 1.5)

belly -   - ( 1.0)

hips  -   - ( 2.5)

booty -  - ( 1.0)

rt thigh  - ( .50)

lt thigh  - ( .50)

This puts me almost back to my starting point last month.  bleh.

278 STILL:)  After this weeks eating...  I had way to many cookies.  I notice my 2x tighter shirts are alot looser.  3x is getting a bit insane.

Good going on avoiding the pringles!

This week proved I have no willpower when it is in my sight.  Working on it.

Congratulations and Condolences all around!  The Pringles and the dress stand out to me, so good going!

I gained 2 pounds, but I sort of figured I'd gained and am happy it wasn't more.  I went out more, had more carbs, and did not do any more exercise than last week.  I also made a fairly rich dinner on Tuesday:  I breaded and baked chicken wings, then drizzled them with a lemon-butter sauce.

Today at our high school staff meeting, there were cookies and dried cranberries.  I'm happy to report that I ate more cranberries than cookies (I had 2 cookies).

For the challenge this week, I'm going to go back to what I did last week.  I have a hard time preparing three different dishes for supper.  For one thing, it's hard to make sure they all get done at the same time.  For another, it's a LOT more dishes, and when you're cooking for one, it always seems like the preparation and clean-up take longer than actually eating the meal, and that can get discouraging.  I enjoy cooking and even the preparation, but I don't really like the clean-up.  So, I usually only make two dishes:  a main dish and a side dish.  The first week (last week), I only made meat and vegetables.  This week, on Monday with my salmon, I made white rice, but no vegetable.  So this week, I'm going to stick to only meat and vegetables when I cook.  Carbs will only exist in my snacks, although to be honest, my snacks are almost always protein.

I tried on my swimsuit, and although it doesn't *look* great, it does still fit, so I'm planning on going to my alumni gym where they have this great pool that's almost always empty.  I love being in the water.
