That's great, Pam!

Tamela, I'm glad you are feeling a bit better. :)

I just looked back to the beginning of this thread to see if Tamela had posted her real name so I could call her that, and wow, we've had a lot of people disappear! Well done to those who are still here.

I am hopeful for a loss tomorrow. It's looking good. :cross:

Anyone interested is coming up with next week's challenge?

I know it is not weigh in day but wanted to share I am still at 281!!!  the fact I have been so sad and not gained is MAJOR to me I was really expecting to see a higher number.  I have been trying to limit myself.  Even managed a few walks with dog.  Not long but long enough for now.  Yesterday was VERY stressful and managed to come out ok.

Friday morning in Australia. I have been having my extra 200 calories plus some extra on 3 days. When I over eat its still nothing like I used to. Sooooo 14 oz LOST for me. Woo Hoo!! I'm happy with that and proud of my achievements.
Good luck to everybody with your weigh ins and thanks for your encouraging words during the week. It helps a lot :)

Excellent
You must feel incredibly fit with all your exercise. l'm just starting the exercise route, and looking forward to more energy.

This week l lost 2.2lbs. l'm now 186.2, down from the original 198.6 for a total loss-to-date of 12.4lbs.

My treadmill is being built today so l'm looking forward to joining all our exercisers.

Yay Tammat! I am so proud of you! I knew you could do it!

Catsallaround....it's wonderful that you were able to stay the same with everything you're going through. I know that you're under a lot of stress right now. It will be OK.
 from all of us here.

Awesome Andrya! You go, woman!
I'd really like to see pictures of your treadmill when it's finished.....I have an idea that might be our next treadmill.

I lost 2.4 pounds this week! Yay me!

This has been a tough week for me. I weigh myself every day (and yes, I know one should not do that). For the past 3 days, the scale has not moved. Not one ounce. With Rick not feeling well and me not feeling well, and then those darn scales. Stuff at work. Well, had it not been for one Tootsie Pop for each of the past three days, I might not have made it through. And last night was really nasty; I found myself snooping through the fridge and the cereal cabinet more than once. But the scales moved this morning! And not a moment too soon.....I was about ready to throw myself over the nearest cliff!

No one wants to volunteer to come up with the challenge for this week? I'll give it a little longer and if not, I will post one.

So..this is a slow weight loss week for me.  I've lost .9 of a lb. since I averaged last Friday.  I am actually thinking I may gain a wee bit before my Monday average..even though my calories are lower than ever, and water intake is higher than ever, I've been eating untypical for me carbs and it's messing with me..lol.  I have a birthday coming up and dh is already celebrating (he does wonderful surprises) by taking me out to eat.  I do my best when eating out but that usually messes with me too!

Wow... everyone is doing so well!

It's so encouraging to see everyone's efforts paying off, even if it's just by a small amount.

Another not so great week for me, but still saw some small differences;

rt arm - 12.25  ( -.25)

under arms - 37  ( -.25)

ta-ta's - 43.5  ( -.75)

rib/band - 34 ( +.5)

belly - 38 ( +1.25)

hips - 40 ( -.5)

booty - 42.75  ( +.75)

rt thigh - 25 ( +.5)

lt. thigh - 25 ( +.75)

rt calf - 15 ( -.25)

It's been kinda hard to keep track of my real progress because of all the fluctuations in various areas, so I finally decided to put it on an excel sheet.  Next week is closer to the end of the month, so I'll post an overall report for the month then.

Here's a question for everyone.... do you take daily vitamins?  Should we challenge ourselves to do so?  At least a multivitamin every day...  I have to admit, sometimes I forget mine (sometimes for weeks at a time).

I try to take prenatals.  Was daily but now I forget sometimes.  Need to eat a decent meal and sometimes I just snack until nighttimes meal.

I have an idea for a challenge. It would be ongoing for a while and everyone on the thread would have to take a turn so if you don't think it's a good idea then please say now.
Ok so the idea is to educate ourselves and each other about "super foods". When its our turn we choose one healthy food, explain its health benefits, how often we need to eat it, how much to eat and how many calories it contains. You could even include a recipe. If its possible we could all try to include the " super food" into our diet for the week. I am happy to do the first week if everyone likes the idea. Ill post it in 48 hrs unless I hear otherwise.

This was supposed to quote Abbysmom. Oops. Sorry.

I didn't get a chance to post here yesterday, but I did weigh myself: 163.4, which is a loss of 2.4 lbs. Not bad for a start, but I wonder if it's just normal fluctuation. I did try to eat better, but didn't do any exercise, other than that it was the first week of school, so I did lots of walking all over campus (I teach in different rooms) and stood a lot, instead of sitting all day.

I made up menus for this week, and tried to stick mainly to lean meats and fresh vegetables. My Achilles heel is better, too, so I am planning to add exercise when I come home from school. So, I'm hoping to see better numbers next week.

As for the challenge, I'd enjoy learning about super foods and integrating them into my diet from the thread, but I know I don't have time to research one on my own.
