1. it varies. Not so few starts firstly when the kittens are born. It almost always kicks in then, very seldom there comes no milk at all.  But good to be prepared and have some kmr or goat milk at home.

2. As I understand, it is normal, they dont need to be absolute twins.  Of course, good you are looking at them tits now and then, some may get inflammed feks, or the kittens bite into it.

3. As said, it usually starts itself. No fault with extra food like kmr, although I would suggest you make sure she has calcium! So goat milk if you have, plain yoghurt full fat (Turkish or Grecian youghurt is just fine), cheese....   If she has good quality food, like kitten food, such extras shouldnt be necessary, but doesnt hurt either.

4. Nesting box behavior varies, but it is quite common they take it late.

In nature they cant occupy a nesting place too early, they dont want it begins to smell.  So they do search out where there are good nesting places, but occupy them late.

Home cats can do it earier, as they arent threatened in the same way.

But if you want her to keep one nesting place, change the bedding every day.

Good luck!
