Please help need input.. I've fallen for someone and theres a cat in the Mix

Okay, So i met a girl on a stupid dating app. The first time we met, there was a cat hanging around her neighborhood.

This was the first time she had seen this cat. Upon seeing the cat, i got out of my car, called it over, and gave it some lovin'. She tried to approach the cat, and it was a little evasive as she didn't let it come to her.

But now, that cat follows her home and waits outside her house for her sometimes. I joked that it was a spirit animal from me to her.. but i don't think this is a joke.

Do any of you cat professionals know what this could mean other than a big cat coincidence.

I take it your a guy?  Could have had a bad experience with a woman/someone who looks like your girl.  Strays have to stay on edge to survive long outside.  It is possible it is owned by or was owned by a person much like yourself and felt safe.  Could have just gotten out for the day.

I would not think much of it except if it is not fixed or looked sickly I would try to have cat taken to vet.  Then again I do TNR(trap neuter release) of cats who come into my yard.
 

I think it's a very nice story.  Sounds like this cat is looking out for her.
