Also how much should the kitten gain per day again. I have a scale that weighs in grams but i need the actual number. Unfortunately dora is not producing ebough milk so her momma is having to substitute..i already have kitten replacement milk (powder form) just need a bottle. Im now anxious roxy will run into the same problem as poor dora

You are right, it is best to be prepared for the worst possible circumstances so that you aren't scrambling if a situation does arise. On average, kittens gain 10-15grams daily. Some days with more or less gains is perfectly normal, but ANY weight loss and they need to be seen by a vet ASAP. And, don't look at the litter as a whole; look at each individual kitten. They will have growth spurts at different times and some will just be naturally larger or smaller and gain more or less because of it. So long as there are always gains then they are doing fine.

It's good to have KMR and a bottle or two on hand but be cautious in starting bottle feeding. There is a science to it so make sure you watch some videos first. If they are not fed properly they can get milk in their lungs and choke to death. It also opens the door to other issues, and you need to be prepared that if you start you may be taking over care taking duties full time. Consult your vet before bottle feeding unless it is an absolute emergency.

My baby Nova is getting huge. I have no idea when she is going to have her babies.. I just keep wishing and hoping and annoying her lol everytime she gets in my lap i bumbard her belly with my hands and just love feeling her babies move around... All of what I have read about your baby Roxy is basically what is going on with my Nova.. except her belly has not dropped, I dont think.

Roxys has dropped from what i can tell. Itll happen from anytime now to next Tuesday! Or else its time to see a vet. Two weeks from when ypu first felt movement os a good marker on when her delivery will be...this is the end of the 2nd week ive felt em for roxy. I expect kittens this weekend. Good luck to ypu and yours! Keep me posted!

So dont find me gross people but when roxy allows me to rub her belly i often check her spot...tonight as i was rubbing her i went so far as tp place my finger there. She wasnt super wet but it wwas more wet then normal...as i wiped my finger on the puppy pad around her nest box i realized it was a brownish red. It smelt a little like cat pee as i expected but could this be our first signs? Im also noticing what may be subtle contractions too..her tummy is def dropped and hair gone from around nipples. Restless laying on her side always, in her nest box...what do you all think about this brownish liquid coming from her spot? I wouldn't refer to it as discharge as its not fishy or chunky...coukd we be days maybe hours from real kitten producing labor???! Help a sister out :)

A little brownish/bloody discharge is normal so long as there is no smell. Usually she just licks it away before you even notice that she's having it. It's yet another indication that she is close, but not definitive. You just have to keep waiting it out.

I feel like shes too big to clean it good enough and to uncomfortable to try...this is the first time ive seen brown red liquid and ive honestly expected it due to the fact her due date is around the corner. Its funny cuz its storming right now and ive heard a lot of ppl say that kittens are often born during storms. Obv this is an ironic superstition but still thatd be funny! Hopefully this means there coming soon! God im excited cross your fingers everyone for me for a fool proof easy and fruitful delivery with a healthy momma and kittens! Thanks for everyone's help! Ypuve all been great!

Still no kittens...but she seems to be a lot more lovey and def restless. If she doesn't go into labor before tues we're gonna have to make a trip to the vet. Hopefully that eont be necessary! Shes still eating too! Shes in her nest box now...the suspense is killing me!!! Hopefully it womt be long now. Plus the girls at work are sick of me talking about waiting for kittens hahaha im just gonna keep being patient and wait for hwr to have them
