Cat behaving strangely after his neuter surgery

My cat Jupiter was neutered this afternoon.  The surgery was done about 5 hours ago.  Right now, he is attacking a blanket and kicking it. He has never done this before.  He seems rather agitated.  Is this part of the affect of coming off the anesthesia?  He isn't acting drowsy at all.

Yeah, coming out of anesthetic can cause some cats to get agitated instead of dopey. Just give him a safe place to recover, he should be back to normal by tomorrow morning.

I sure hope Jupiter feels better soon. 

We're getting a little freaked out over dropping off our new little man Si to be neutered Wednesday morning so I've been pouring over everyone's experiences here.

How is he doing now?  Unfortunately, coming off the anesthesia drugs can make them kinda crazy.  Try (i know, easier said than done!) to keep him as calm as possible.
