It's still morning here, so good morning everyone!

So I'm wondering - do you like to to travel? Are you particular how you travel and where you go, or do you like to just pick up and go almost anywhere?

I used to be spontaneous and loved going places and seeing new things. Something changed, though, and these days I just want to stay at home and hang out with my family. Every trip I've made in the last 3 years has been difficult and for some kind of family business, really how many times do you want to travel all day only to end up in Houston for funerals or to meet with attorneys? (No offence Houston, but there are nicer cities.)

I don't care what method of travel I take as long as it gets me there and back home the fastest. My friend says if I travel for fun I will enjoy it again, but I don't want to plan an extra trip to try out the theory.

I would love to take an around-the-world cruise on a Cunard ship.  Go through the Suez Canal and the Panama Canal, see Asia, Africa and Europe without changing ships!   4 months and many thousands of dollars.

Let us know when you're going and we'll join you! Of course we need to win the lottery first!

If a pet sitter could cover I would love to travel.  But it is out of option and I never ventured far from NJ. Only day trips when I was younger.  PA and NY.

I hate the process of traveling; but I usually enjoy myself once I get to my destination.  Being a military brat I've lived far from family for a long time; so you'd think I would be used to it.  And to a certain extent I am.  But I still don't like it.  Sea Bands or Dramamine help with car sickness.  Elevation changes from driving or flying often mess with my ears and leave me feeling sick for a few days even sometimes.

Most of our travels are to see family so everything seems pretty decided for us; bouncing between trying to spend time with everyone equally.
On the rare occasion we do take a trip for just us we are pretty laid back. We might go with some general ideas of what we want to do but no booked excursions or anything.

I don't want to go anywhere and sleep in a strange bed. I have heard too many tales of bedbugs. So I sleep in my bed, go to my daughter's and that is all. I might would travel out of state if I were going to a friends house or family.

As long as I don't have to fly to get where we're going, I'll go anywhere! Rick is usually in charge of all arrangements when we go on vacation. He'll reserve the hotels rooms and get everything we need. All I really have to do is talk to the petsitter and pack my clothes (well, I'm always in charge of snickerdoodle baking, too
Road trips always mean cookies to Rick). Since we always drive, I do most of the driving.

We don't go much of anywhere though. I love visiting my GF in Connecticut and we always have a great time together. There are a few weekend-type trips that we've been wanting to take for the last couple of years, but something always seems to come up lately and we don't take them. It is a hassle with the seven cats, especially with Mollipop and Muffin not getting along. There are mornings when I'm even leery about leaving those two alone in the same house just to come to work, let alone going away for a couple days.

I've done a lot of travelling over the years.

Now it's just within Australia.

I do love getting on the road and going to little towns off the beaten track.  And a beach break goes down pretty well

I don't mind traveling. :) Lately it seems like we keep revisiting the same old places so it is more relaxation as opposed to checking out new things.

I don't travel much anymore but today I am on a "stay-cation". There is nothing I have to do and no where I have to be
. I don't watch much tv but today I'm in my jammies watching cartoons with the kitties. Tomorrow I'll go to yoga and get a manicure. Maybe plant some flowers and knit. I love a stay-cation, and I don't have to leave the cats
.

Not much of a traveler here. In fact, since we recently moved I have to find a new cat sitter. THAT will be a tough job for me and an even tougher one for the sitter. I am pretty particular and can scare off many a sitter. Seems the last few years if we go anywhere it has been to visit family. We really, really need a romantic vacation for just the two of us before I get TOO OLD.... I just hate to leave my cats and my old dogs, one of whom is not well. So hard to travel right now.

I traveled a lot with my parents in years past, but, with the health and mobility issues I have now, traveling is not possible unless I have a strong companion.

OK, I have to figure out how to get on a plane.....and stay sane. Rick still wants me to go to Oregon. He still wants to take me to Ireland. And now my sister is talking about flying to Alaska next year! Her daughter (my niece) is going with her gymnastics team and my sister has the chance to go with her. And they've asked me to go, too. There has to be a way for me to learn to fly!
