Question of the Day: Sunday, March 3

So, yesterday was our 9th annual Hooley Plunge.

Basically, a bunch of people pledge money, dress like leprechauns, drink beer then jump in a frozen lake. All donations and pledges go towards Special Olympics. I couldn't go, but I did pledge, and some of my co-workers did participate. From what I've heard, we had over 900 plungers this year and raised over $113,000 for Special Olympics! Not bad for a small town!

So, would you (or have you) jumped into a lake for a good cause?

I'm afraid if I jumped into a cold lake, I would have an instant heart attack.  I have had a quad by-pass. 

One of my co-workers was advised by her doctor to only go in up to her knees, for that very reason. It still counted!

Well, I think I could handle up to my knees.  For about 10 seconds.

they do the boxing day dip here straight into the north sea and its bitter, ive donated but never done it, I would never say never though
