Do you have to count on family and  friends to take you places when your car isn't running ? Do they come through for you or do they fail you ?

My car is still down so I have to (and hate too ) count on my son when he is in town or to use my daughters car when she is at work and pick her and my son in law back up after work. Thats too much gas cause it's about 15 miles each way. Then her friend is helping us out too, if we pay gas of course. This girl never on time.

No. We have Clarence, the PT Cruiser, who is our "spare" car. We use Clarence when Rick's truck or my car is in the garage for work or when gas prices get a little ridiculous....right now, Rick has started to drive Clarence again instead of his Tundra because of gas prices. When a family member has some car trouble (my sister had some trouble with her Beemer a few months ago), they'll take my Tucson and drive that while their car is in the garage and I'll drive Clarence.

Clarence has a manual transmission and not everybody can drive him.

Basically what happened was that Clarence has always been my car....I've had him since 2001. But back in 2011, Rick told me to buy a new car bc Clarence was getting up there in years. We kept him because I still like to drive him during the summer months....he's not really a good car for winter driving. So that's how we ended up with an extra vehicle.

They will have to pry Clarence's keys from my cold, dead hands!
