With the prices  going up everyday couponing is important to me now days. I don't go overboard like they do on that show called Extreme Couponing. I give the cashier my share of them to the cashier. I get them from the paper, friends, internet.

Every little bit helps when you have a budget for the month. I love that show.

It depends on how much the coupon is for, and what it is for. I don't buy things just because I have a coupon for it, and I rarely change brands.

Couponing in the USA is vastly different than in Canada.  There are many rules and regulations here for coupons, that it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference on your grocery bill.

In the USA, depending on where you shop, the store gives you cash value on a coupon so if you have a coupon for $1.00 of, and the item is only 75 cents, they credit your bill with 25 cents.  Here if the item is less than the value of the coupon, you get the value of the item and nothing more. Also, where I live no one will do double coupons. In the US, double coupons can end up giving you credit on your bill. So if you are an extreme couponer, you can end up paying next to nothing, or even getting money back, when you shop.

I look at coupons to see if there's something I want, but I don't buy things just because there's a coupon for it.  Mostly, I just figure out where the cheapest place to buy my regular purchases and when they go on sale.  Most coupons I come across are for things I don't want, or it's not a better deal than what I already have figured out.

It's not a good deal if it's something you don't need.

I should do more in couponing. I look at them, cut them out, put them in a kitchen drawer and then forget them.

One day I was in the supermarket and the lady in front of me bought $118 worth of groceries and with her coupons she only paid $18. That should prompt me into more couponing!

No I hardly ever do it, maybe every once in a while I may see something that I happen to need but I never go thru newspapers looking for them, that would drive me nuts.

I do, but not to extent that I used to coupon. I used to refund, too. It's hard to find worthwhile coupons these days.

I have to many cats not to!!!

I use them on the wet food with either a regular sale, black friday sale, or when petsmart does the family and friends event.  We eat a lot of fresh stuff that has no coupons but I use them for certain stuff and ALL our body and dish soaps.  I actually have about 50 suave body washes I use for the litter boxes and for showers:)

By me they won't give you more then product is worth(.75 item witha  1.00 off would only get you .75 off for example) and even when they double it maxes out at 1.00 or item cost(.75 item with a .50 coupon will get you .75 off not 1.00.

Only a little. If I find a coupon for something I buy anyway, I'll take it! But most coupons are for things I don't use, so not very often. I LOVE Petsmart's Friends and Family coupons. Stock-up time!

I would love to go in a store and get 500.00 worth for 0.00 like they do on that show.

I get alot of my personal items from the Dollar Tree instead of going to Walmart and paying alot for an item.

sometimes with the coupons I don't use I will lay it by the item for someone else to use.

I've actually found that a lot of stuff costs more per ounce/pound at Dollar Tree than it costs at Walmart. They trick you by having different sizes (oooh, look, it's only a dollar for 20 ounces! When it's $1.20 for at Walmart. . .but for 32 ounces. Etc.). Go in with a calculator and check it out sometime! Some things are a good deal at dollar stores, though.

I get my VO5 shampoo, conditioner, tissues, combs, brushes at the Dollar Tree and a few items I need each month. Also the candy for the grandkids on Holidays and related items.

I also find the dollar tree to not be cost effective compared to Shoprite(chain grocery) or walmart.  Walmart won't double shoprite will.  A $1 bottle of body wash with .50 off is .50 at Dollar Tree, at Shoprite it will be free as .50 goes to 1.00 off.  And like Willowy said bigger is cheaper sometimes.  Garbage bags(I use 1-2 dozen a WEEK)  are better at Shoprite with coupon as you get a bigger box but unit cost is way cheaper.  /

I have to say many years ago I did see more bargains at Dollar Tree then I do now-there used to be alot more closeouts on higher end brands.  Now it is more small packaging name brands.  I am sure it varies by state(and even county!!)
