Tiger cat I will pray for your two ferals. My Bella is staying in her house and not coming out. I put food out but he does not want to come out. I think this might be happening to your cats. Hopefully you will find them soon. Whaler I hope you find limpy maybe He is just to cold to come out. Maybe he found some were warm.

Thank you for your prayers. I hope everyones cats found a way to stay safe. Tomorrow is my fiance and my birthday, praying for this as my only gift that they're ok. We are both so worried.  I am very depressed but still holding out hope. My two ferals are mommy and son she's about 6 and he's probably 4 yrs old. At least they have each other. But I haven't seen any of the ferals come around (or what I assume to be other ferals) since I moved here and fed my 2 slowly others started showing up, 3 cats besides mine, no one came out today. So maybe like you mentioned they are just hiding for now.  They have to come out to eat sooner or later. Praying for everyones cats safety.

thanks for the positive vibes.

limpy has still not shown up, but i am trying to remain "glass half full". the extreme cold we are having tonight is bad enough, but to make matters worse where my colony is located still has not been plowed, so it will be very difficult for him to get back to the houses.

i am just so worried. limpy just made a huge breakthrough - he sat on my lap and curled up.

i hope that everyone's ferals are safe and this becomes no more than a distant memory for them.

thank you Tiger Cat.

yeah, we got hammered, looking at the non-drift snow areas i think we must have gotten 30" in my town. :(

i have been at work most of the day even though we were not "working". i am heading home in a minute, after a combined seven hours of shoveling between here and home i don't feel guilty about not having worked out today.

thank you LDG. My oreo & her son are still missing this is day 3. I hope they find their way back.  I'm actually in Suffolk county/LI, thought originally we only had 18 inches (as if that was no big deal) but we got hit with between 27-28 inches. Poor kitties wherever they are, are probably so stressed out. Likewise I'm doing all I can to silence this gut feeling that they cannot have made it through this weather.

I am feeling pretty good that you will see your cats.... soon.... :cross: Mine went missing for almost six days before I saw them "emerging"!! We had seven foot drifts from a winter storm a couple of years back and we were practically buried inside the house. The kitties certainly do know how to keep themselves safe. :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

When my cat bell first found us we only had him for about 8 months and there was a snowstorm . I did not see him after the storm. He was not Friendly so I just thought he went back were he came from. I did not know about cats at the time I always had dogs. I stopped calling him after a week. The next week came and it was my birthday that. Morning and decided to call him one more time and he jumped out so high right in front of me. I now know he was Under my deck with all the snow the snow was melting and that is how he came out. He did not eat for 2 weeks. Your limpy will come and the other 2 cats will come I am sure of it. We are having bad weather.y cat bell just stays in the heated house all day and night

HE IS HOME!

i just got back to work/colony about a half hour ago and i came inside to get mommie some more to eat. when i opened up the back door to bring her food out he was right there, i almost hit him with the door. he promptly climbed onto my lap and curled up into the smallest ball that a 16 lb cat can make. nearly immediately after seeing him i shed a tear (or a lot of tears) of joy. yup, i am a guy and i wept over this.

thank you all for your positive vibes, it means a lot.

Tiger Cat - i will send all of the positive vibes i have in your direction. they WILL return.

aww you guys are the absolute best. I've been praying so hard, and yesterday was my birthday, this is all I asked for -their safe return.  I saw jeff the son, he's all black- stands out in the snow.  Oreo, the momma I have not yet seen, but I could've missed her when I was in the house doing chores. She usually comes around 7pm and after Jeff her son left we put some tuna and wet food out and it was gone when I checked again.  There are other cats in the neighborhood that know about this spot so it could've just as easily been them.  Considering I saw her son though and with all the melting going on, We had almost 30 inches and when I came home from work it looked like with the rain and warm temp almost a foot of snow melted off. I hope she was here or is close by.  Jeff and Oreo would often call to each other when they were in close proximity. Hoping momma hasn't strayed too far. I've been crying all weekend thinking the storm took their lives. My boyfriend is the one who told me to have some faith. I will keep a positive frame of mind. It's hard not to worry. But I have to trust in their survival instincts.

Oh Tiger Cat, I'm sorry you didn't get your complete present on your birthday! :hugs: Just do your best not to worry (we all know - much easier said than done!!) and yes, try to keep the faith! These kitties are survivors! I'm sure it helps to know that Lauren's (feralvr) ferals took two weeks to return after the 7 foot snow drifts. :heart2: Keeping up the vibes! :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :hugs:
