I know there is a thread about what we eat but I thought I would ask about the cats. Sometimes I ask my non-cat owning friends "Guess what the cats had for lunch?" lol. Like they should be excited about the answer or something. Anyway, I'm curious. Plus I like new food ideas for next time I shop.  Mine had Merrick"s Cowboy Cookout for lunch today. What did yours eat?

LOL...you would ask when they just had junk food.  They got brushed today and the treats are given out LIBERALLY around here during grooming (only one of my four likes being brushed.)  Luckily they are short-haired and don't need brushing often.  The treats flow during claw trimming too....but that is once every 2-3 weeks.  The treat jar has temptations and some greenies right now....might switch to freeze dried chicken for a healthier treat when those run out....or maybe keep buying the occasional temptations since they don't get them too often.

Breakfast was healthier...raw ground rabbit from Hare Today.

Chicken gizzards. Cheap and great for cleaning teeth.

All 4 polished off 1/2 of a 3oz can of Nutro Natural Choice chicken! But Ramseycat did his usual "sing for Daddy" morning routine and ate on piece of Friskies Party Mix as a reward for such a beautiful song this morning

3 of them had raw kangaroo (from Red Dog Blue Kat) and the fusspot that hates kangaroo had raw turkey (from Natural Instincts).

Primal quail for breakfast here. Boo had the addition of freeze dried shrimp because he is being picky.

Cocoa had Before the Grain's turkey.  Casper, poor boy, has not been well and does not have an appetite to speak of for his usual fare; so I seared a chicken thigh for him.  That, he ate.

Dinner was duck hearts, their favorite! ...Except Spooky, who doesn't like them. She had raw ground goat.

And Gary just gave Chumley a bite of his steak (not raw :lol3: ).

Minion had EVO Venison canned like a good boy.

Popcorn had a billion (ok more like 10 but still...) Zuke's chicken treats that she managed to get out of the cabinet like the insane kitten that she has proven to be.

The kitties had beef and chicken for breakfast. Lazlo and Spooky left most of the beef behind. Lazlo just asked for treats, so he got some freeze dried turkey heart, as I'm out of chicken. Of course everyone else wanted treats then, so I doled out bites of freeze dried chicken liver. :lol3:

Loki, the F3 Savannah, had a quail for breakfast this morning. All he left was the feathers, legs/feet and the beak. Like a good boy, he, ate the rest
. My one DSH, Shadow, had a mouse for breakfast. She just left the tail
. My other DSH, Momma cat, ate, a small rat. She left the tail and the head

This morning Ritz had venison, probiotic, some liver and some kidney (all raw).  She'll have some more venison and goat at dinner time.   And want more.  I give her three small freeze dried liver treats around bedtime (8 p.m.)  And she'll want more but I am learning not to give in to her meows.  I tell her we can play or cuddle, but food is not an option.

And no Ritz you cannot have that birdy in the window!

Tomorrow is rabbit and Omega 3/6 supplement.

The last thing my cat cat ate is his own vomit! :lol3: Ewwww, so gross I know! Sometimes he wolfs down his food so quickly that he vomits it back up a couple of minutes later. We figure if he'll eat it again, fine....:nausea:
Wiggies is much more civilized and just ate some kibble.

Flowerbelle used to eat so fast she'd regurgitate. But she always wanted new food. :lol3:

Yeah that's how I can tell if Ritz threw up because she is a pucker or because she is really not feeling well:  if she wants food right away, she's fine; if she walks away, lays down, wants to cuddle, not interested in more food, she's sick.  Repeat three times, she's off to the vets.
